Default PCOS and TTC after D&C

    Hi!

I think I am having lining problems after last D&C. Last one was mid January and I can't think of anything else and AF has been odd and lighter, shorter since. Last cycle was regulated so the follicular phase was shorter and got a luteal of 14 days and probably o'd but it didn't make a difference. Only other thing that I can think of is my progesterone not staying up. Is it progesterone that they use to help build the lining more? My acne actually went away from ovulation for a week, then hit hard again this week so I suppose I could tell that my hormones had swung back again. I'm supposed to be most fertile after a D&C but it's definitely not working. I just hope they haven't damaged my uterus. I have also gained around 8kg since losing last baby (57kg - 65kg) even though I work out five days a week and don't eat much junk - ideas?

AF was always light and short for me for at least 8 months after D&C and I have had 4.
The weight gain may be due to your PCOS ? This is common
It's highly unlikely that you uterus was damaged if so you would still feel swelling and tenderness ??

Thanks Kelly - all the info I can find has ladies saying that they bled more and were more fertile. I can't remember what it was like after our first D&C as we had decided to let my body regroup and so weren't trying until 6 months after, but still, my body was more regular. I feel tender on my right side sometimes just before I go to the loo that is up to high to be uti - and it's different. I also have a fibroid and wonder what it is up to. (My uterus is situated towards my right) Also wondering about cysts. There are so many possibilities, heading back to fs but it may take a while to get in.

Oh really . I didn't know that, I always just assumed AF was lighter after D&C's due to the lining being removed so therefore I didn't have much back up for AF ! Haha I never googled it though
However I also have PCOS and fibroids are pretty harmless I have had them for 9 years and haven't had an issue and cysts are only an issue if they burst and by god you will know when one has burst
Hopefully once you see FS then you will get some answers as to what is going on.
Many women do fall pregnant during their fertile period after a D&C but that's the first month and also based on a healthy ovulating woman.
PCOS can make it a lot harder for many women.

I'm hoping that the lining is only thin and not damaged. Did yours just take time? This is my fourth AF since D&C and it isn't getting any better. My fibroid hasn't been a problem with our other pregnancies and yes, it's definitely not a burst cyst. Hoping it's just muscular.
Have you ever had problems with progesterone levels after o?

Thanks Kelly. You're a lifesaver I'm starting to get ever so slightly neurotic without trying to show it to my poor family! It gives me great hope that it may just take time. Whether we have more children or not I still need to get my hormones back in check so will still see our old specialist.
