Most doctors do early scan to check that it is in the right place and that all is well I had my scan last week at 6wks+6days and I also got it bulked billed, defiently ask for a referral, Do you have any symptoms at all? I don't want to scare you but just let you know what I had experienced in the past I had a missed miscarriage and with that pregnancy I didn't find out till the 12wk scan that there was a sac but no fetus inside and had to have a d&c I hardly had any symptoms apart from major bloating later but I thought was normal. So please make sure you get checked especially if your gut is telling you something could be wrong, I had a feeling but thought I was being paranoid. I wish you all the best I hope you have a strong growing baby in there let us know how you go.

To be honest, I feel like I've had a miscarriage, or a missed miscarriage, as my spotting was never heavy (I would wear a pad or liner for the whole day, and there's only been a couple of days where there was some loss on the pad...), and my symptoms disappeared not long after I got the results from the first hcg test.

My last pregnancy (we weren't trying and I was on Implanon!) ended in mc as well, but the experience was very different. First test was low as well (100) - I don't know how far along I was at the time as I wasn't tracking anything - and after second blood test results had not moved. A few days before I had a scan I had pretty strong cramping (and I never get serious cramps, only some lower abdominal discomfort just prior to AF arriving), and then 4 or so days of heavy bleeding with clots. Scan revealed no pregnancy tissue left at all, so I didn't have to go through a d&c.

All will be revealed - and I'll post updates when I know more. Part of me is, of course, hanging out for test results that reveal bub is hanging in there, and we can carry on counting down to arrival....the EDD was initially 25/12/13. Thanks for your thoughts happy - made me tear up a little

    Sigh.

Saw doc last night, had bt this morning but yet to find out the results....he's thinking its a missed mc too (normally I love it when I'm right but not this time). He said ob will do scan and determine if I'll need d&c...I would prefer to have one as then we'll know it's over and can start ttc again!! I'll post test results when I find out....thanks to everyone for checking in

So sorry to hear this... 😢 Hugs!!!!!
A d&c would be good in terms of having a clean out. My fertility specialist gave me one when I was having trouble falling pregnant. Apparently you are extremely fertile for about 6 months after having that done. Most people fall within the first 3 cycles after it 😊

It's not nice to have to go through this though xo

thank you for this ....agreed its not nice....but I like the part about being extremely fertile for 6 months after! Yesterday I felt like sh!t for most of the day, my eyes were still puffy this morning. I called the ob's office yesterday to give them a heads up, and they asked if I had booked in for a scan...I said that my gp had said that they would be able to do that, and she said they could, but probably not straight away and I would have to wait around for quite a while, and it would be better if I could have the scan beforehand and bring the results to my appointment. So I call my gp back but he's away until Monday, so I have to make a whole other appointment to get a referral for a scan I might not even be able to have before my ob appointment on Thursday. ARGH!! Anyway, I have that appointment this afternoon (for the referral), and with any luck I'll be able to book the scan around work...I'm already taking the whole day off on Thursday - nobody knows we're ttc at work....

feeling better today, ventured out and bought my first baby items (symbolic for me that we will grow a healthy baby to term) - newborn hat and newborn mittens. Made me feel better.

how are you doing MAR? I'll have to check in on your thread xx

Little Duck is it possible you just ovulated really late in your cycle, so you're not as far along as you think? Could the spotting have been an implantation bleed, which would make you only a couple of weeks pregnant? That would help explain the low HCG? Some women occasionally double-ovulate too, so you could actually ovulate twice at different times in your cycle. I wouldn't give up hope hun xxx

    Thanks twocam

I suppose it is possible (isn't anything?)...I was only able to track two cycles before bfp so fairly clueless as to any patterns or lack thereof.....but found out the results from second bt - hcg at 32 - doc was puzzled as it had been 3 wks between tests, and I suggested it could be that they rose and then fell over that period of time. Having scan today, and will have third bt Wednesday morn. I'll post results from scan later....again thanks so much for checking in and your support.....means so much
