    Default ECV experiences??

    Hi all! Just wondering who has had an ecv and what your experience was like?

    I'm 35+1 (bub turned breech at 33 weeks) and spoke to a midwife today at birthing class (i have a hospy appointment on Monday) and she said they would get the ob to see me about having an ecv in the next couple of weeks and she seemed put out that I wasn't sure if I wanted one or not.

    So if you've had one was it successful? Did it stress your baby? Was it overall a positive or negative experience? TIA

    The Drs fingernails were too long and dug in painfully making it difficult to relax.

    I was told beforehand that mine was unlikely to succeed due to lower than normal levels of amniotic fluid. However I felt it didn't get a proper chance because of the Drs fingernails. I asked for the Dr to put gloves on and try again, but he refused.

    I was not aware of any stress on the baby.

    People on this site recommend the spinning babies website for positions that may turn your baby naturally. That is something you might want to investigate.

    Ew your doctor should have cut her(?) nails! I can't believe she refused to put gloves on too :/

    I've been doing rebozo and a few other exercises off spinning babies but I've got a bad back so some of it causes a lot of pain and discomfort. I'm going to see my chiropractor this week too, just trying to get my head around this ecv thing and understand what my options are

    Bumping ny own thread lol I'm booked to speak to the ecv specialist next wednesday (i'll be 36+5) and potentially have my ecv done then if I agree to it. I had a scan done at the hospital this morning she's definitely still breech with her feet up near her face
