Thank you! That helps so much!

I can't speak highly enough of Dr Loretta Deuble at Brisbane City 6 Day clinic just near the main GPO. She is the most thorough and lovely GP I've ever come across and the lengths that she has gone to for me (and my partner on a totally different issue) are above and beyond. Just keep her secret cause I'd like to still be able to see her ;-)

Thank you so much! Is it an expensive practice or bulk billing?

Sounds great! I have found other doctors not supportive as I am 23 (24 in July). I have even had a gp tell me I should be happy not to get af!

$71 a visit now but you get the standard Medicare rebate. Some doctors there do bulk bill in certain circumstances like if you earn less than $35k/yr.

Loretta is very thorough and will send you for bloods and stuff that aren't always bulk billed. Also when you start seeing a FS the appointments are not cheap and not generally bulk billed. You might also find you need a longer first appointment which will be more than $71 cause you've not been there before, same with the specialist. Julie was like $250 or something for first appointment...

Wow.. Well I have a little bit of time to save some more for fs appointments as I have only just started TTC, however it seems naive of me to think it might magically happen on its own when I'm CD88.

You are exactly right Becca. Just get onto it. I came off the pill with the hope of falling pregnant but we never bothered "trying" because I never got a regular cycle - you just end up wearing yourself and your partner out for nothing.

I firmly believe the sooner you can get some professional advice and a path forward the better off you are. This whole thing just gets harder every month and I personally didn't want to already be emotionally drained and wrecked before I started the treatment. I was able to go into it all fairly positively and tried hard to maintain that but it does fade fast. Thankfully I was lucky and everything was sorted out relatively quickly - cause I got onto it early.

The one I have recommend is a bit exsy but well worth it. After 2 years of seeing multiple drs, these ladies got me straight into a gynae and had a truck load of tests done.
