Default I'm no conspiracy theorist but....

    http://www.news.com.au/world-news/pl...-1226630471921

It does make me wonder that this piece of landing gear is right at the site of the planned Islamic centre, which has been so controversial. I can't help but wonder if this is a little too convenient for the people opposing this site, and if the delays that will come with this find might be by design in the hope that the Islamic community will take their development elsewhere.

So sad to dredge all of this up again.

Df said it sounds weird too. It's been so long, how did it go unnoticed for so long?

    Sounds suss to me too.
My best friend's DH is a very well known and respected investigative journalist, based in New York. He has worked on heaps of stories that would blow your mind. All is not what it seems. After speaking to him, I am also very skeptical about a lot of things that go on in this world.

The article does state it's in a narrow gap. I think on that fact alone, it could have easily gone unnoticed. Then take into consideration that people who did see it, probably had no idea what it was. I doubt i would recognise part of a plane if i were to see it in such a circumstance.

I felt uneasy reading this too. How would it survive that inferno when all else was destroyed?

It may have been thrown clear of the plane on impact with the building, but it does seem strange because the landing gear would have been up since they had no intention of landing. But, honestly, I just don't know. I am surprised that they didn't account for all of the parts of the planes as they sifted through the rubble.
