I thought I'd try and finish this post for future people that may be in my place. They may find this helpful? I have not been in a great place between the CVS, Drs appointments waiting for results and preparing for the worst. I don't mean to bring people down I'm just trying to share my feelings.

I am now having an amnio Monday and on the advice of the Ob and geneticists will most likely be terminating the pregnancy unless the abnormalities are confined to the placenta (which we have been told in our case is a 1-2% chance). I am feeling like I am on a roller coaster going from fine to in tears numerous times a day. I have prepared myself and our family for what potentially lies ahead and now there is just more waiting. This has been one of the hardest decisions and times in my life so I can truly sympathize with everyone else. I am just hoping to be able to get a little set of footprints of the baby if this is the road we have to take so I'll have something to remember it by. A miracle could still happen but is extremely unlikely.

I'll keep in touch as we progress! xxx

Sorry to hear that you haven't had the best news but I just wanted to share the story of my DS1. Nuchal fold measured 7.5mm and we were given a 1:5 of DS. CVS showed monosomy X so we went to amnio where we found out that out little Turner's Syndrome girl had turned into a healthy little boy. He turned 3 last Friday and is completely normal. Fingers crossed for you and your little one.

Wow Amyd that's amazing. We have been told it is likely to be Turners or mosaic Turners. Did you have a CVS and/or amnio? All of the odds I have been given are so bleak, we have done our own research too but I guess I am just preparing for the worst so any positive news is a good surprise. Thanks for sharing with me though. Were they concerned as the pregnancy progressed or when it was a boy things were OK?

We had cvs first and the fish came back with the monosomy but when they did the cell culture it came out as just in the trophoblast layer. Then went to amnio that came back normal. After all that we then had extra scans to check bub's heart because that can be the other big cause of a high nt reading. Finally got the all clear at 22 weeks.
I'm hoping that you have something good like that happen too.
An incidentally ds had a very fat neck at the back when he was born.
