    was waiting for.

Hi everyone so amazing to read about your successful cycles!!!! We are considering going to Greece for an egg donor cycle and I was just wondering how it is managed at this end? Do you need to sign up with a local IVF clinic or just a fertility specialist and how do the costs work. Thanks so much and looking forward to reading of more success stories on this thread very soon!

    Hey Frances,

i just oust spoke with Penny at Serum, sooooo exciting. She is so lovely & encouraging. She speaks as if a baby is just around the corner for u; it's so positive, it's about how & when, not if.
Which as I'm sure u have felt is so different from the medical field here. In adelaide I might as we'll be asking them 2 part the Red Sea instead of help me have a baby.

I have told her I want to do ivf the end of sept. (We will probably cross paths 4 a few days; we r looking 2 fly out of oz on 19th sept; that would b so great if we get 2 meet up there )
the next step for us, is a couple of tests, the 7 in 1 4 me etc & my hubby 2 start a course of antibiotics as a precautionary. I'm just excited 2 b a step closer 2 our dream!

r u flying over with emirates? U got me thinking & maybe we will stop in Dubai 4 a night or 2 as well. We also want 2 go 2 turkey if possible whilst we r there. I ordered a lonely planet today 2 start looking at what we could possibly do close by etc.

    welcome me+he&she.

I'm guessing you've been on this site b4 but have just come back 2 join this blog, as I noticed u r a senior member?
tell us your story, we would love 2 know. The girls here r fabulous & so supportive.

In answer 2 yr question, it was this blog & the story on 60 mins about Mary Cousas, that got me started down this road. I'm really glad I have 2 or I honestly think I would have given up hope.

As as up can c there r a few different clinics in Greece 2 choose from & I'm sure each has its merits.

Im going 2 go 2 serum in Athens, after speaking 2 several girls on this site, researching & then emailing & speaking with them. The clinic staff Maria/Katie & Penny could not have been more supportive, quick 2 respond every time, & informative. Love them! Send them an email yourself asking anything & I guarantee u will hear from them by the next day.

I started by sending them an email about my previous treatments & that I was thinking about the donor option & they sent me back all this info on when & what 2 do next.

Also go back over this blog & there r a few links 2 get more info
    eg http://www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/fo...topic=274114.0
its called Agate's serum & it's really helpful
    www.info@serum.com
hope this helps, also feel free 2 ask any questions & I'm sure 1 of us can help

Also I think Kathcraig & maybe panda went 2 different clinics so can give u some advice should u want 2 try Embroyland & .....

    ok ive blabbed on enough.

    Vixjc i hope u r ok?

    Good night ladies.

    Xx

Hey there - in answer to your question, you do not need a clinic here, but you do need someone who will presecribe the meds that your overseas clinic will direct you to take. So I have paid my FS here for each appointment with her where she prescribes meds, or when she did a scan to check my lining just before I flex over. The treatment at Serum (who were awesome!) is 5,000 euro. On top of that is any bloods tests or medications you get while you're there, and of course your medical appointments and meds here.

    Good luck!

Thanks so much for sharing the info ladies. Our story is we have a DD through ICSI (for male factor) and where very very lucky to fall pregnant with her first cycle. But have since found out I have a chromosomal abnormality which has a 50/50 chance if being passed down and may or may not cause intellectual disability issues. This has come out of the blue in my bloodwork as I have never been any issues previously so we are now looking into doing one or two cycles here doing PGD testing but as I'm nearing 40 will most likely need to go down the donor route I would imagine. We are starting our stim in July and will give it a few months and then make arrangements for Greece as a fall back. It's so great to know there are options out there as it takes a lot of the pressure off my cycles here!

    Hi Ladies
    Sorry I have been away.

Dette you are so right. Going through what we have you welcome the morning sickness as it is reassuring everything is going well. In saying this I have been very lucky and am nauseous all the time but not actually vomiting. Just saw the two little ones having a party in there at my High risk clinic appointment. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

Welcome to the thread me+he&she. If you have any questions about the egg donor process in Greece I am happy to answer. I used Embryoland with Dr Nikos who were great and we had success in our first try so we were very lucky.

Kathcraig I hope you are travelling a bit better now..

    Hey beautiful ladies,

I've been away last week & no wifi.

Im feeling a little flat today & just needed 2 chat with someone who truly understood. Another girlfriend told me she's pregnant today. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy for her but ..... This is my fourth girlfriend who's having their 2nd in the time I'm still trying 4 my 1st! It's hard.

Panda, Kathcraig & Vixjc, how r u feeling?

Vixjc, please tell me u didn't "Ralph" at your important work situation last week?

Me+he&she, not long till July, when in July? I will have my fingers crossed 4 u! As much as there r other options eg donor, I hope u won't need 2.

Frances, have u sent yr forms off yet? How's the planning going, is Venice in or out? I have 2 send off blood next wk 4 testing & my hubby has started antibiotics. Part of me wishes sept would hurry up but part of me is scared about how much is on the line.

    Have a great week

Sadly hcg yesterday didn't look good. I'm having to have ultrasound and another blood test today. I seem to get pregnant but keep loosing them . Embryoland Dr Nikos has been fantastic. He has kept in contact which as been a great support. Crossing fingers today brings better news. I don't think we can afford to do this all again.
Hope everyone else is doing well
