Hi Stacey - My husband is 3 years younger than me.....this is the first time I wish I was younger. And, ironically enough he is Greek and we go to Greece often. I never knew (honestly never really thought about treatment outside of US) they had high tech clinics with good donor laws. I feel like I've wasted precious time and the last thing I need is him to agree!! Oh well... I tried to figure out how to PM you to get the info on Embio. I clicked your user name thinking it would be an option, but no. (And I consider myself fairly tech savvy!!)

Jamellabeth: Thanks for the reassurance. Although I know there are women my age doing this, I don't know any personally ! This board is like a life line to me - I'm so glad I found it.

Please help with the AU lingo: What is FS (I assume its your gynecologist or OB/GYN or RE (reproductive endocrinologist)? Also, what does shanky (sp?) mean (I assume shady)? (Stacey used this word when describing Embio.)

Also, I sent an email to Ruth Powell. Trying to all info possible....

Positano: You are leaving soon and going through Embryoland? Wow, I am happy for you (strange right since we don't know each other!!). I'm still deciding on a clinic and Embryoland is right up there so I'm anxious to hear how your experience will go. Wishing you the best.

What clinic is Frances using? I hope she is having a good experience too.

Thanks for all the input everyone!

FS= Fertility Specialist probably similar to your RE rather than OB/GYN (who delivers babies)

Yes I agree, this forum has been a life saver for me to, I can't believe I didn't find it sooner! But soooo grateful that I have found it now and its amazing how quickly its now all moving considering I've been looking for a local donor for what feels like forever.

Serum will answer emails etc but is not actively open for transfers - well it wasn't last August, as I adjusted my dates to September.

    xx
@Dette is right, Serum will be closed completely from 1-31 August, they have already let me know the dates in case I was planning on August.
Not sure about Embryoland but will find out of Dr Kanakas on Sunday

Justcantstop. I think you have to do a few more posts before you can pm me I will wait until then but I'm sure to say that after you have heard what I have to say about the clinic you won't be going there, and yes the doctor is on the TV and a celebrity there but that doesn't make him any better My d/h is nearly 10 yrs younger than me and he's get a slap around the chops if he went on about my age
    Yasna fantastic news

Yasna - that is fantastic news, congratulations!!!!!!!!
We can compare scans, my next one is the 4th may. I can't wait to hear what your little heartbeat is on the '6th.

Justcantstop - keep the faith. You are healthy & able, you go for it! There are plenty of us who are older. I'm 46 this year & pregnant with twins & I'm grateful. When you hear so many horror stories of people who don't care for their kids, what's age - compared to love, caring & support (& yes maybe a little bit older').
jamellabeth - good luck with Skype on Sunday. How exciting, possibly July

Frances - how are you going; do you have a transfer date yet?

    Xx
