We are doing baby led weaning with dd, which I have explained to my mum a few times but she would only ever refer to it as 'food is fun before one'. Eventually I told her to stop saying that cause it sounds wanky.

The next time I heard her try to describe it to someone she said that we didn't do purees because we were doing'baby linguine'

    At least she tried.

Bahaha. I would be so happy if I had a friend like that.

I had a high school science teacher who, during sex-ed, wrote the word "penus" on the board. He had no idea why everyone was so amused, he thought we were just being immature about sex ed...

I read your first line really quickly and thought it said " I had a high school science teacher who during sex wrote the word pens on the board. "
and I'm thinking wow she had sex with her science teacher and he was writing on the black board while they were having sex!

My manager just told me that just because we have a Labor government in power in Canberra, doesn't mean that they have any power over here in WA.

My mum, little sister (13-14 at the time) and I were stopped at the lights one day. On the opposite corner was a vacant block of fenced off land with a billboard on it. The billboard was advertising a tanning salon. My sister looks confused and asks 'so what, do you just go and lie on the grass with your towel or something?' Took mum and I second to work out what she was talking about, but then we couldn't stop laughing! My sister has come out with some real crackers over the years :P
