My year 10 health teacher tried to tell us that twins was 2 sperm and 1 egg. Um no! That doesn't even come close to matching up

I had to explain the difference between the 1 egg 1 sperm that splits forming 2 embryos and the 2 eggs 2 sperm forming non identical twins.

His response "well I didn't look into it in THAT much detail" - common knowledge of a health teacher I should expect!!

A lady at my preschool told me she was going to call the police because there was a blue tongue lizard in her yard. I was pretty confused by that one.

That's an interesting one. Considering 15mo dd LOVES vegemite, I somehow don't think it will entice her to stop in a hurry

Great thread! Haven't laughed so much in ages!

My EX Stepmum firmly believes that you do not need to actually read a book, you just have to hold it in your hands and absorb all the knowledge. Okaaaaay...

She also to me once very seriously she was an alien, and remembers coming here from another planet. Um Yep. (She was not drunk or intoxicated in any way)

Total fruitloop, too many drugs in to 60's methinks!

My FIL told me the other day that he highly recommends that I have an epidural when I give birth... Sorry, how many babies have you given birth to??

there is a possibility I will have one but he has in no way swayed me at all
