    • Don't sit on a cold floor or concrete because you'll get diarrhea.
    • Breast milk has no nutritional value after baby has reached 1.
    • Don't pick up your 3 day old baby when he/she cries because you're teaching them bad habits.

I was told not to sit on concrete floor as I'll get piles by a random lady once!

I was told recently by an uncle that labour doesn't really hurt that much, 'its all in the mind'. Umm really, im glad you enlightened me. And you decided this how, when you were at the pub while your wife gave birth... Hmm I decided it hurt when I went through it!

My nan told me that too! It was followed up by lots of advice on how to "shrivel" them in case I did get them :/

I got told this by an ex nosey and completely inappropriate neighbour. And that raising children was easy... (He had one 13 year old daughter at the time who he hadn't seen for 12 years)

Oh another one was my best friend of 23 years. Dd was born 2 weeks before her hens weekend. She told me to stop being so silly and just leave her with DP for the weekend. Never mind that she was breast fed. "That's why they invented formula and bottles". Uh, no.

I would have kicked him in the nuts and said "remember, it's all the mind." Hahaha

Yesterday from another mum and extended breast-feeder - I have to feed more discreetly as men can only see breast as sexual playthings.

From dh minutes after dd1 birth - Well that was easy, it was just like blowing a trumpet. He has never lived it down, not even after 19 years later.

From my mum, talking about penis and vagina's to kids will make them sex addicts, she was convinced it was true as she thinks she saw it on a documentary on foxtel.
