When I was about 8 months pregnant with DD, I complained about back pain in front of my MIL. She said "it is because you are holding on to past regrets." Pretty sure it was the baby actually. My MIL comes out with some gems, I swear.

    Oooo two more....

My oldest SIL when she was pregnant with my oldest niece was complaining about being pregnant to my mum and a family friend. She ended the sentence with "you just don't know what it's like". Mum, 4 pregnancies, 5 kids. Family friend, 1 pregnancy at that time. No neither of then had no idea at all what it was like to be pregnant.

SIL's (DH's sister) partner. Talking about climate change and sea level rises....."the sea levels are rising because there are more ships in the ocean and more reclaimed land. Where else do you expect all the dispersed water to go?". Such a deep thinker that one.

A friend's 19yo daughter went for a job interview and the interviewer asked for her Christian name, she replied 'oh... no, I'm a Jehovah's Witness'.

My girlfriends came to visit me in hosp after having the boys. I had lactation boosting cookies there to help my milk come in. I offered them some because they're delicious.

One of my friends is such a typical blonde. So I waited for them to finish eating before calmly telling them that they should wear good bras that night as it wouldn't take long for the milk to come in now they had eaten lactation cookies.

Not only did she believe me, she was then very stressed for the next hour while the rest of us suppressed our laughter. Sh was horrified, she was meant to be going out that night but couldn't now as how would she deal with all the milk? Gold.

People thinking a drawer is spelled and pronounced "draw". And Chester Draws??!! Got to be kidding.

A girl at work asked me how long a drive something was. I said about 2km. She then asked how far it would be if she walked...!
