My MIL comes out with some gems every now and then.
Just the other day she told my DD's that her mother used to fall over all the time because her feet were too small for her body...

    These are so funny 😂

My MIL says heaps... 2 I can think of are:

When I was 9 months pregnant

MIL: Do you know how much the baby weighs?

Me: Nah he won't be weighed until after he's born.

MIL: Well how much weight have you put on?

    Me: About 20kgs.

MIL: Well then that's how much the baby weighs................

I told her that the baby would only weigh around 3-4kgs.

Another one - when my DS was 3 days old and I had just finished breastfeeding him, he was a bit unsettled so she said 'maybe he's thirsty'. I said 'no I just fed him'. She said 'no but the beast milk is for when he's hungry. He's thirsty so you need to give him a bottle with cooled boiled water and SUGAR!!!!' She then asked for a bottle so she could make one up. Luckily my DH said we didn't have any bottles.

Scariest part of it all... this woman had 7 kids!!!!!

Guy: I used it to shave my coconut

Coconut is not a euphuism, he had a coconut he bought from woollies and had shaved it. It was sitting on the kitchen bench.
This is so funny and very weird. Visualising someone actually shaving a coconut. What the?

Haha. My grandfather was asking me since DS was 6 days old if I had let him try chocolate yet and if he could bring chocolate over to give him. He asked like every week,

This thread does as much good for my self-esteem as watching Sarah Palin interviews does.

My grandmother is always at me to put a singlet of DS. She thinks if he doesn't wear one he will get cold kidneys which will result in the flu. WTF!

I have many but can think of only one and its from my own mouth!! Damn it because my sister is the queen of WTF comments that make you wee!
Anyhoo I was pregnant so give me credit or at least a little bit of understanding.
DH and I were driving out of a shopping complex, mum had just rang to tell me Steve Irwin had passed away and we stopped at an intersection .
I was in complete and utter amazement at what lay before my eyes! I turned to DH and pretty much squealed "omg how long have these been around" pointing to what was in front of us, DH looked around confused and asked what I am talking about , I lift my hand a point to the Thirsty Camel drive through bottle shop and squeal " how long have drive through bottle shops been around that is the best idea ever!" Then the wtf moment hit my own brain as DH is blankly staring at me in complete disbelief at what just came out of my mouth !!
Worst brain lapse I have had and I was 100% amazed and excited about this new 'invention'
