I honestly think removing sugar (well, fructose) from your diet is one of the best things you can do for your immediate and long term health.

For anyone thinking of doing it, I'd recommend reading 'Sweet Poison Quit Plan' and keep re-reading it every now and then, and also to 'like' the Sweet Poison Facebook page. There is lots of info on there, and heaps of helpful questions and advice from people just starting plus those who have been sugar free for a long time.

Also, a good source to help understand why fructose is bad for you is the u tube video 'sugar the bitter truth.' There is a 90 min big one by Dr Robert Lustig that is apparently really good (haven't seen it), or an 11 min very brief explanation from a guy with a clipboard.

I think this is the link ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdMj...=youtube_gdata

Sorry for the long post, I get a bit excited when people want to quit sugar. Nerd much???

Thank you so so much for all the encouraging words and advice! I'm even more confident I can do it now! I'm over half way through the quit plan and I've had so many light bulb moments! I'm excited to clean my body of fructose and stop my sugar addiction :-)
