Default My baby hardly babbles at 6.5 months.

My boy is 6.5 months old but I hardly hear him babble. He is very smiley and has eye contact with us all the time. When DH places him on his tummy, face close to his, he will start to baby talk...very cute goo goo ga ga...he also does this when DS1 plays with him but that's it.

On his own when lying in the bouncer or sitting in the high chair or tummy time playing with toys, he plays quietly no babbling...only when he gets upset he starts to squeal and whine for attention.

i read babbling starts 4-6 months. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

    hello

i wouldnt be concerned, he is coo'ing and such when being social. that to me is babbling.

some babies are chatterboxes and some are more reserved. i have a very reserved little girl who makes us work very hard to get coo'ing even!

give it some more time and if your still concerned bring it up with gp at next check up?
