Default My 10 week old wont sleep anywhere but on me during the day!

My daughter is 10 weeks old and won't sleep more than 30mins during the day unless she is asleep on me. She sleeps very well at night in her bassinet (8 straight hours from 7pm) wakes for a feed around 2am or 3am and then back down for about 2 hours but is a very restless noisy sleep. During the day I will try to put her in the bassinet once she is asleep but she will wake up in less than 5 mins. She will sleep in her swing but only for a max of 30mins. By the afternoon I let her sleep on me just to avoid a very cranky overtired scream fest that will happen before bed at night if she doesn't sleep. I have tried swaddling, putting her down awake and asleep but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just let her sleep on you for now, I promise she will grow out of it try putting her in her bassinet for one nap in the day but don't get too stressed about it if she won't sleep there. She'll get there in the end.

I always waited until 12 weeks until I worried about any kind of routine for my babies. I found they settled into one by this age anyway and before this age they are still newborns so if they want mummy cuddles all day I just let them have it :-)

I experienced the exact same thing! Once she started to get a bit heavy for my chest I would rock her in the pram where she would nap. At least this freed my hands. Then after a while she learnt how to roll this is when i tried the cot again. She now has every nap in her cot & sleeps 1.5-2hrs each time I still rock her to sleep in my arms though & she's 10 months old.
