Think this month I will just concentrate on cycle returning to normal then next month might try some OPKs.

FiBub - just keep at it even if AF doesn't turn up, you could ovulate any time!
    Yay!!!

    Hey Tahnii

Good luck with it all. I'm in a similar boat; need to lose some weight and I have borderline glucose intolerance so doing my best to keep it down but it's bloody hard that's for sure. Hopefully we all get on track and get BFP's soon!!!

Good luck Lilac with the OPKs. How's it going? Hope you're having some success

This is my first post. Im 23 and my partner and I have been together 6 years. Since i became sexually active i always sensed something wasn't right and Ive never been pregnant. We are now ready to have a baby and so we went to get things checked out. Results from my first blood test showed that Im a diabetic so after a couple months of focusing on learning to live with diabetes I put ttc on hold. Went back to the doctor and after 6 blood tests it has now been confirmed that I had a ovulation. So now I've been left to keep trying. Im trying to learn how to check my mucous for when to have intercourse. Hopefully this helps. i dont really know of any other tips. I do need to lose some weight and hopefully that will help too. If anyone has any tips I would love to know them. Hopefully this place will be somewhere I can come and chat with others in the same boat as me as people around me arent easy to talk to as they either arent ready for kids or fall pregnant very easily.
so ive recently learnt how much extra stuff there will be during pregnancy now that i am a diabetic. also theres a lot more preparation before its safe for me to even get pregnant gahh.
    thanks x
Welcome Tahnii! That sounds tough but it's good that you seem to be doing all the right things and have focused on your health first. There are heaps of tips and tricks that you'll learn about on BubHub.. cervical mucous is one, lots of ladies use OPKs (Ovulation Predictor Kits) which tell you when LH (luteinizing hormone) peaks (in your urine), and after that happens you have like a 12-24 hour window when you'll probably ovulate. It can't all be exact but it does help to have some tricks up your sleeve to help understand what's happening! And you know you're ovulating at all, so that's great!

This is definitely a good place for the waiters, I have officially started TTC this month so will have to clear off to avoid clogging this thread with stuff that is technically off-topic!

However I won't be able to resist checking in and saying hi every now and again

    Welcome Tahnii
    Azimuth - hooray for CD1!
    Elswyth - and
Lilac - Next cycle will be here before you know it! How are the OPK's going?
    Fibub you catch/caught the eggy!
    Sorry to those I missed
AFM - officially CD1 and normally I would be taking painkillers every four hours without fail and constantly cuddling my wheat bag - Not this time. I am stoked. Loving the differences I'm seeing/feeling since I bought the crystals. I have no doubt in my mind they they're working for me
Unfortunately though, DH and I have decided to put TTC back a month or so We're looking at relocating by the end of the year and it's probably not in anyone's best interests to do that with a heavily pregnant lady So this gives me another month or so to try getting a better handle on my weight and to see how my cycles go. A bit bummed but I know it's for the best.

yes it definitely feels overwhelming sometimes. Ive recently had to re-priorities things in my life as I had taken on far too much with work, study etc which caused me to become very overwhelmed which probably would not have got me anywhere great. But I cant wait to have a clearer mind and learn all there is to learn about ttc. good luck with tic hope you find good news soon.

So happy that AF is here but wow - pimples are running rampant! It's like I am a teenager again.

Forgive my ignorance (being on the pill for 10+ years I can't quite remember) but do you normally get pimples during AF due to changing hormones?

I'm pretty sure it's normal - my face goes nuts between O and the arrival of AF since being off the pill. But yeah, blame the hormones.
