Did anyone else have something like this happen when they stopped BCP?? I'm guessing there is nothing I can do, other than wait and see when arrives???? Sorry if this sounds silly but I'm a newbie at this and had been on the pill for 11ish years so really don't know what to expect!!
Hey there, this is my first cycle off the pill and today I have hit cd40. I just want AF to come so we can start trying!!!!!!! We weren't careful last month but I wouldn't say we gave it a good try so hpt done so far are bfn.
No sign of AF for me and only symptom is crazy bloating. I too have been on the pill for years, and I am 37 now so stressing about it as well which I know doesn't help.

Does anyone have any advice how long I should wait before going to dr if AF doesn't show?

I now have lots of things from the lolly table for sale lol as I bought everything for it worked out cheaper then hiring. I hear you FiBub takes so long for the stupid body to get back on track and behave right.

I went to see my GP when Af didn't arrive after coming off the pill and she said to wait 6 months - if it still didn't show then come back. Unfortunately it can take 6-12 months for your body to normalise.
Mine came after 74 days so fx for you not too much longer til she shows.

Hi Everyone! Woah few days away and a few pages to catch up on!
Fibub76 i hope AF shows her ugly head soon so you can get back to trying. I totally understand your frustration!
Azimuth I hope the vitex works for you!!
May and Elswyth sending lots of baby dust your way
Twinnie glad AF is on it's way and hope you have luck with the crystals and regulating your cycle!
Simmie, definitely feel your pain about cycles. My first two off the pill were fine but the third one was all over the shop! Seems to be the norm unfortunately though
to everyone else, sorry if I missed anyone
AFM CD12 today, starting using my opks yesterday to track O day. Hoping it is soon, but of course basing all of this on my cycles going back to being 28-30 days Really wish we were trying this cycle, but I know next cycle will be here before I know it!

    Hi everyone
Well I have been doing some reading about stopping the pill and ttc.....
Stupid that I don't know this stuff already, but it seems that we don't get a period BECAUSE we haven't ovulated yet, so even though I didn't get it last month, doesn't mean I won't ovulate and conceive this month
Kinda lifts my spirits a bit
You gals might already know this, but I didn't, so just thought I would share.
I got some opk stuff from eBay so will start using it this month just in case
I am really enjoying being part of this forum, thanks to all of you :-D

Just popping into today to say that although yesterday was CD61 today is CD1!!! Woohoo!

Was just talking to a friend in Friday and saying that its actually a good thing because I get migraines usually during AF so technically I've missed getting a migraine or two and now bam - hello AF. Think this month I will just concentrate on cycle returning to normal then next month might try some OPKs.

FiBub - just keep at it even if AF doesn't turn up, you could ovulate any time!

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post. Im 23 and my partner and I have been together 6 years. Since i became sexually active i always sensed something wasn't right and Ive never been pregnant. We are now ready to have a baby and so we went to get things checked out. Results from my first blood test showed that Im a diabetic so after a couple months of focusing on learning to live with diabetes I put ttc on hold. Went back to the doctor and after 6 blood tests it has now been confirmed that I had a ovulation. So now I've been left to keep trying. Im trying to learn how to check my mucous for when to have intercourse. Hopefully this helps. i dont really know of any other tips. I do need to lose some weight and hopefully that will help too. If anyone has any tips I would love to know them. Hopefully this place will be somewhere I can come and chat with others in the same boat as me as people around me arent easy to talk to as they either arent ready for kids or fall pregnant very easily.
so ive recently learnt how much extra stuff there will be during pregnancy now that i am a diabetic. also theres a lot more preparation before its safe for me to even get pregnant gahh.
    thanks x

Welcome tahnii! This is a nice place to chat to others who are waiting to TTC (and we have a few who have started trying).
