Libelle...Great that you have progressed to the Lucrin shots. Means it is definitely getting closer!!!

Pixel....Good stuff! Can we add you to the Roll Call as "Donor Searching"??

    SUnny...Hi and hugs to you!

AFM...Officially started the OCP yesterday. Have emailed CFC to get some indicative dates so waiting for that reply.

I was having a read through some of the earlier posts about how cold and damp some rooms were...oh yuk! Think I will pack a small fan heater and a hot water bottle just in case we get there and I have booked somewhere like that!!!

Hope you are all doing well.

    Donna

Everyone. Sorry, been MIA....DP came home Monday night and left for work again on Wednesday morning, so a whirlwind visit or I should say he is more like a cyclone with the chaos he leaves behind!!!

I hope everyone is travelling along well.

    AFM
I have been on the OCP for over a week now and stay on the active pill until told otherwise. Im pretty excited to be finally cycling and also a bit scared because I only have 4 more pays until we go!!

I know I said I wouldn't do this again but I have been looking at donors profiles, I must stop it lol. I blame my husband who said he would like another and gave me all the reasons why we should go again, only problem is I gave my reasons why I didn't want to go through it again, seems we both changed each others mind.

we went to a another first birthday party yesterday and bubba would dearly love a sibling, he loves being around other kids he is the type of kid that would thrive with a sibling rather than resent one.

Im going to have to give myself a strict talking to in the meantime I might just check out one more agency lol

June/July will be here before you know it ladies, Im just curious as to why you are all taking Lucrin a daily shot rather than triptorelin (sp?) a once only shot, have they taken that option away?

DJ - WOOHOO....we had a feeling that our dates would be very close...congrats on getting dates, you must be excited.

JodiW - Possibly in for another go....good to see. Im taking Lucrin daily shots as I live in a regional area and the daily shots are easier to access and actually cheaper...also, I have taken it before and I know it agrees with me.

Today's job is researching safari tours to Kruger National Park. Plan is to head there as soon as we land in Johannesburg and then over to Cape Town for cage diving, wineries etc etc. Ask me at the end of the day and the plan will probably be different again!!

    Happy sunday everyone.

Hi ladies - I havent been on BH in ages. So much has happened. Our beautiful miracle baby girl Stella has been home with us since August 2012 and is doing fabulous. She is currently crawling everywhere. DH and I decided and also upon medical advice that we would not be going back to SA for another egg as the chances of me PPROM'ing again are just to high. We had so much stress with Stella being born so early and the fact that we were told more than a few times that she wasnt going to make it cemented our decision. Our family was complete...we had a baby...our precious baby girl.

So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that I was pregnant....naturally. You may laugh but I honestly thought I was peri-menopausal given my age and the fact that the ovarian reserve test done on my eggs in 2011 indicated that I had a less than 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally. I had only just received the letter from my specialist OB advising against another pregnancy. He knew I still have 4 eggs in CT frozen from my donor. So with much trepidition I went to see him and broke the news of my pregnancy. To say he was shocked was an understatement. 44 year old woman with less than a 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally was just that...pregnant. Neither of us held hope for the pregnancy progressing past the first trimester as all my previous natural pregnancies never did. However he did the right thing and put me on progesterone pessaries straight away. Well I passed the first trimester and hit the second trimester. I went for the nuchal scan and he advised me that with my age the risk of having a downs baby was extremely high and to prepare for a decision. Would you believe that I came in as a low risk???? Seriously...like 1 in 485 low. That hurdle over we progressed to 17 weeks where he decided to put a cervical stitch in as it seems I was still going strong and so this was to be another preventative measure in getting me past 22+5 which is where I got to with Stella!

Stitch in situ and I am currently on as much bedrest as possible with a crawling baby who is into everything!! I am now 28 weeks and into the unchartered waters of the third trimester. We found out at our 20 week scan we are expecting a baby boy.

So apart from the update I just wanted to say that going to CT was the best thing for me and my DH. We got our miracle baby and now I am expecting another. I am guessing my body knows what to do after Stella.

Good luck to all those on your ED journey. Best decision we ever made. I had Dr Heylen and Heidi and couldnt have been happier with them. Warm and fuzzies and stickies to you all.

Awesome to hear from you Theresa. I followed your journey and I'm so happy to know it had a great ending for you and little Stella. This is such amazing news with the new bub on the way, congratulations to you and DH. Sometimes nature surprises us in the most amazing ways. What a fantastic blessing.
