Hi Mumnetqn, thanks for thinking of me. I start jabbing tomorrow woop woop.

Chiefs, congrats on being PUPO! Hold on little twinnies, and give Chiefs a beautiful Xmas pressie!

Thanks Ladies for helping me with my acupuncture question. I emailed Jane at acupuncture ivf at Westmead. She said their clinic hours are mostly later in the day, but if I email her closer to transfer day, she will see what she can do. I have regular acupuncture on the Northern Beaches but thats a long way from Westmead! At this stage all going well, my EPU will be around Wens 4th Dec.

Guys, random question for you - I have seen lots of double transfers lately - when we used WFC they were very against doing them. Did you speak about them early on with your specialist, or was it suggested after multiple cycles?

Thanks ladies for your support and knowledge sharing. With everyone having their own unique experience through IVF, BH is an excellent place to support each other!

Ever, hope the jabbing is eventless (IYKWIM) but with an eventful outcome for you

Completely off the topic, I am in the lower range of the OK BMI range, and the FS has said I should not lose any more weight. I was so happy that my weight increased by 1.5 kg during the jabbing, but it is back to my normal weight now I knew it was too good to last lol

Mrs jaguar, we asked for it our first mtg with the scientist, we only got one ok to transfer that time so it didn't make a difference. I think they won't do it if you're under 35 or get lots frozen. They only ever put back a second one that isn't good enough to freeze.

Mumnetqn, I wish I was on the lower end of the bmi threshold! I've managed to stay in negative weight loss throughout the whole year and 4 stim cycles, but it has been hard work and lots of exercise, watching what I eat!

Hi Chiefs, yes I have been a bit naughty staying up late. I've been working a little later at night so have been taking longer to wind down. I'm putting the hours in now, hoping no one will miss me when I start coming in late or not at all during my ultrasound, EPU and transfer days, hehe. Always working towards a plan.

Please body let this cycle be our lucky one. Heading home to sniff/jab. Thanks everyone for your kind wishes!

Hi everyone, I do hope this finds you having a happy Friday! Chiefs congrats so much on benn pupo.....and thanks so much for your reply. I was having bit of a melt down day...after waiting since Sept to hear back from my FS re an ultrasound checking on cysts to see if we could proceed with another cycle....I did end up hearing from him on that Sat and he suggested an antagonist, so we could fit in before chrissy. So long story short we started jabbing on Tuesday for hopefully EC on the 2nd so very excited. Ever I hope your travelling along okay.... looks like we will have pretty similar timings. Wishing everyone a restful weekend

Hi Mrs J, I asked Dr Bradbury about this recently and she said she personally wont do double transfers. So i think WFC is generally against them but some FS chose to still do them at the request of the individual patients

Hi bel and mrs j, I think dr Bradbury means 2x a grade transfers are a no. But the clinic will do a what they call a 1+1 - 1xa grade and 1 x not good enough to freeze (they would just discard the not good enough to freeze if you said no to a 1+1)

I have only ever had b and c grades, never anything good enough to freeze.

Hoping, yay for jabbing and getting a cycle in before Xmas!

Hi all, Dr Smith was the same 1+1 only if the 2nd embryo wasn't good enough to freeze would I get the double transfer which was 1/2 my cycles including the last, when I had my first ultrasound it showed 2 separate sacs but one viable fetus - second sac was absorbed by my body as it turns out without issues (strange how that happens). Same as chiefs I never had any good enough to freeze other than my 1st cycle (my freeze all doesn't count lol)
