Congrats JemJems. So excited for you. Welcome to the world Jet and Max .

Chiefsgirl - Good luck with EPU and hope your follies continue to grow up until then.

hwaterhouse - I called the centre yesterday and told them of my impatiance and they laughed. The nurse called me back and said congratulations. Feels strange.

AFM: So still not sure of where to go from here. i know the centre is saying congrats and i have had 2 BFP on HPTs and the lines are darker. Its just now i would like a blood test to really confirm if you know what i mean. I did asked WFC about the BT and they said we'll see you at 7 weeks for your scan. Felling a little

Hi Mieke, I felt a little the same. I saw my gp and asked if I should have a blood test done but what he ordered was an early pregnancy screen and nothing to actually confirm hcg levels. I think they're pretty happy that a pos hpt is proof enough of hcg in the system. I know the feeling and it wasn't until m/s hit at 6 weeks that I felt it was confirmation enough to believe it (the 5 positive HPTs just didn't cut it lol). I'm sure you're gp would send you to have hcg tested if you requested it though.

Congratulations JemJems!! Can't wait to see the pictures..

Mieke, could you not do a BT with your GP already? I have never seen any GP hesitant to do that for you (I had a few done in the past, even when I was sure I wasn't pregnant, and it was the GPS who asked first if I wanted to do it)

Good luck with your EPU Chiefsgirl!

    Hey Mumnetqn,

I called my GP and made and appointment to see him. I am sure that he would agree to do the BT.

Congratulations Jem!!!! Welcome to the world, boys!!!

Chiefs - On our successful cycle, I only got 3 eggs collected. All 3 fertilised, and one of those was Georgia. Lots of love & luck.

Mieke - I also went to the GP to get a blood test for reassurance. x

Thanks Hayley, it's looking like we'll only get 3 eggs so with our track record we might get 2 to fertilise which would normally be a 3 day transfer, but I think with that being a Sunday we might have to do it on Saturday. I know it's fine to have them back in me, and we'll always ask for a double transfer so will probably get both at that stage, so it'd be the same outcome. I just liked the 5dt so you can tell how they are growing
    Hi Chief,

After 7 cycles our successful cycle was 3 days all the others were 5dt - some embies just are better back in their natural environment - good luck & fingers crossed xxxx

hi Mieke sorry you are feeling this way. AFAIK it's standard for Westmead to do an early scan but not blood tests. I'm not sure what having a blood test would tell you, except give you another number to stress about Unfortunately, just like TTC, it's a waiting game.

    Hey Twocam,

For me its just for reassurance. I just want to know that my numbers are where they should be. Feeling like its not real and that the blood test would make it real and confirm it for us.

The past 3 years have been difficult, as i am sure everyone on the thread would understand and i am finding hard to believe its real as we have been wanting it for a long time.

    Mieke
