Hi all, so I had my egg collection yesterday. Was more painful then I thought it would be but then again I really didn't know what to expect. At the ultrasound on Friday only had 4 mature follicles. We were disappointed with this as we were hoping for a few more. But again this being our first cycle not really knowing what to expect. But it turns out that we got 10 eggs. Text this morning said that we had 7 fertilized and would be doing a 5 day transfer. We are feeling very excited and looking forward to Saturday.

I hope everyone is well and sending positive vibes your way.

    Mieke

Congrats Mieke, I've never had 10 eggs - jealous! That's a great fertilisation rate too! Hope the next 5 days goes well for you. I've only ever done my transfers on a Saturday, it's so much quieter in there on the weekend!

Don't forget to take a camera or your phone into the transfer room so your DP can take a pic of your embie(s) before they are transferred. When you walk into the room they put them up on a big screen and you can take a pic of them if you like. Don't be afraid to ask - we didn't on our first one, then mentioned it afterwards and they were like - you should have said, we'd have kept them up there longer so you could!

AFM - AF has arrived A couple of days early for me, but I'm not complaining!

well I heard back from the clinic and they can fit me in

But they didn't order the human growth hormone for me Even though I was sitting in Rachel's office when she called and spoke to Lynda on the 16th and asked her to order it and have it ready for me to start around the 1st! Lorraine originally called and said yep everything is fine, you're booked in, come in tomorrow at 8am. Then she called back and said she had checked and they hadn't ordered the HGH, they were speaking to other clinics and to the drug company to find out what dose I should be on and what is the best delivery method

She then went on to say that they should have it there by Thursday (cd3 so ok for an antagonist cycle) but as the delivery doesn't arrive till 1pm can I come in at 2pm!!! Thank goodness I work half an hours drive away and my work is really understanding - I don't know what I'd be saying if they didn't - I'd probably have to take the afternoon off!.

Anyway, I guess the main thing is I'm booked in, they should hopefully have the drugs there for Thursday and I can finally get started and try again!

    Rant over!

    Hey twocam,

Got a text today that said that the embryos were growing well and on track for the transfer Saturday.

Not sure how many have survived. Hoping that we still have a few.

Thanks for asking. It's nice to know that people are interested and care.

Hi ladies, good luck to those currently cycling. We have finished our tests and are booking in for our first ivf cycle at WFC for January. I got a really high AMH result which is good but I'm nervous about OHSS.
Hoping to hear of some more BFP's from this group x
