How is everyone going? I must say the TWW is not too bad. No twinges or anything and the crinone I'm finding good too (better than the progesterone bullets that my previous FS prescribed). 7 days until testing...

Good luck twocam, fingers crossed for you.

So sorry to hear your news AOB, sending lots of hugs your way xxx

AFM - saw FS on wed. Nothing like being told ur old, nearly menopausal and fat and that's why you can't conceive! Apparently I snuck through on my first cycle as I was over her bmi cut off, but don't look it so she didn't check! As I'm 39 and my amh is so low though she's gonna let me go through this cycle, just gotta lose 5-7kgs in the next 5 weeks before I start the global f. My life is boring enough as it is, now it's worse!!!

Chiefsgirl – oh man, don’t get me started on weight. I have said on here more times than I can count how my belief is that weight and fertility are NOT related. I mean, have you seen some overweight ladies who are pregnant??? Please explain??? It’s just a cop-out for an FS to blame weight when they can’t pinpoint a definite reason. Sure, losing weight is good for us all, but how can someone’s weight affect egg or sperm quality? As I said, how do overweight women fall pregnant and give birth to healthy babies?? Anyway, I better get off my soapbox, it just annoys me when I hear a FS blame weight for fertility issues, as if it’s not hard enough to have to go through IVF in the first place. I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. When do you start your next cycle?

Twocam – glad to hear the 2WW is going well, you’ve nearly made it through half way. When do you test?

Jeannie – so happy you get to start your next cycle soon, do you have a start date yet?

Jems – how have you been feeling? So excited for your scan on Friday

Wickets – how have you been doing? When is your 12 week scan?

Crofty – hope your jabbing is going well, EPU shouldn’t be too far away now

Lilly – hope you’re doing well too, bet you’re getting big now

Mrsjag – hope everything is going super with Georgia

Hello to everyone else. Andrea, Sharlein are you still around?

AFM – did the 2nd HPT this morning and still a BFN. I wonder if anyone ever gets a different result between the 2 tests, seems a waste of time and a sense of false hope to do it again.

I wonder if there is anything else I can do to improve egg quality? I’ve been taking DHEA for over 8 months and it didn’t help like I thought it might, I’ve stopped taking it now. I’m thinking of talking to a naturopath for some advice. I’m going to jump right into the next cycle. Before this cycle the last time we did IVF was in July last year, too long a break in my opinion. I’m going to squeeze in as many cycles as I can this year, can’t wait to go again.

Oh Chiefs I'm sorry. At least you can go ahead with your next cycle though. FX this is 'the one'. I was a bit miffed to find out that Dr Bradbury's own personal limit (the BMI under which she will treat patients) is lower than the Westmead's general policy. I still fell under it - but only just - and was warned not to put on any weight (not that it worried me as we're intending this to be our only cycle).

AOB I don't know about the egg quality issue. My first FS here in Canberra had me taking 600mg of COQ10 per day but he didn't recommend DHEA as the results were so patchy. My second FS didn't recommend anything other than standard multivits. Either way I'm not sure if 41yo eggs like mine can actually be improved at all

    Hi ladies happy Monday!!!

Twocam - hope your little Emmy is snuggling in nice and tight!!!!

AOB - I don't think I've ever done a 2nd HPT as advised - I don't think I can ever get past the shock of how quick my lonely little one liner has ever popped up!!!!

Jeannie - how you going cycle buddy???

Wickets and Jemjems how are the twin it's going???

Chiefs girl - who is you fs again??? Hope you loose the kg's in the 5 weeks so that you are well on your way to your BFP!!!

Hi everyone else lurking out there

AFM - BTs start from tomorrow to track levels, U/S booked for Friday and EPU expected next week - all systems go- still jabbing away and pill popping, feel quite energised on my prednisone - but then get tired quite easily - weird??? Getting quite nervous about my cycle now as I haven't stimmed for over a year (September 2011) hopefully my nearly 38yr old eggs are waking up ready for harvest!!! And DHs swimmers are coming out of hibernation!!!!

My eggs are older than my age, due to my endo. I've tried coq10, as well as royal jelly. I've booked in to see a naturopath next month, she specialises in fertility so I'll see what she recommends.

i'm also thinking about asking my FS about Gonal-F, I've only ever been on Puregon, maybe my body needs something different?
