I was in Aldi. The snob in me wondered if I would be so hesitant to let him eat it if I were in a posher store, 'cos like their floor would be cleaner.

I didn't have any wipes or water on me and I had a trolley of stuff so no options for giving it a wipe or wash.

I would have binned it. I've done it in the past as well. I shudder to think about germs on a supermarket floor.

I would throw it. I have kids with oral issues so i would want to reforce the rules we already have in place. Other people kids i wouldn't bat eye if they gave it to them.

I would have given it back to him after wiping off with a wipe or something similar.

Let him eat it...., but then, my twins would lick windows (ewwww) so a lolly on the floor for a few seconds is nothing.

I'd let dd eat it, she goes to daycare and is exposed to all sorts of nasties, she picks her nose and eats it much to my disgust, some of the things I've caught her putting her mouth are nothing compared to that, but then again I'm one of those very lax mums lol

I had DS in the trolley once and as I turned around to grab something else to put on the conveyer belt I realised he had been sucking on the chrome side of the checkout the whole time! So I guess a lollipop that had fallen on the ground wouldnt phase me much at all.
