    Oh T1gger I'm so sorry

I asked if DH could come into the room for ET and the person confirming appointment times (not from my clinic) wasn't sure that could be accommodated...so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an unreasonable request. Last time they expected him, so this was a bit surprising. Hopefully it's just because I happened to ask someone who's not familiar with the procedures, it sounds like everyone else's comes along! Orchids yours was really there for EPU?? In the room I mean?

So sorry to hear that T1gger. We had a BFN at our first attempt at IVF back in April and were so devastated as well.

LSF - yes indeed! DH was in the room, holding my hand and silently watched how everything happened. During EPU I was wide awake, just slightly sedated to relax me, so I too watched the tv monitor as the embryolgist looked for eggs. I didn't feel any pain during EPU either..only afterwards felt sore with the cramping.

AFM, i've been doing TCM in my month off. If AF comes early next week then it'll be a FET mid this month and I'm told I'll need to use pessaries. Has anyone used these before? Do you only use them after FET or need to start using earlier? I'll give the clinic a call to check but in the meantime any info would be good, thanks.

    Hi Orchids,

I am waiting for AF (and she is late) and I too am doing my first FET this month. My protocol includes estrogen and progesterone pessaries both before the ET, and then continue with the progesterone until I am advised either way I.e. after 2ww if I get my BFP then I may need to continue until 12 weeks! not sure if its the same for every protocol but hope this is of some assistance.

Thinking of you T1gger. So many of us know this feeling all too well and it is so painful. I'm so sorry you got this news.

The pain passes, and with any luck will make way for excitement about whatever your next step might be. For me it was a good long break! This helped to remind me what the goal of all this was, which somehow got lost amongst all the medications, procedures, OHSS and bad news x

Waiting for AF. Expecting arrival today or tomorrow. Hot flushes also started today. At least its winter.
