Welcome to all the new girls. It's a lovely forum to be part of, but such a shame that there are so many of us going through this, lets hope our numbers get lower for the best possible reason!
Salam - how's your cycle going?
I can't seem to flick back and check names so I can't comment individually, sorry girls. Hope everyone is travelling well.
My drugs arrived today, my fridge looks like a pharmacy. Will start next cycle in about 2 weeks, depending on AF.
hope everyone has a lovely weekend

    Hi ladies

I have been over on the April/May thread and today had my first ever transfer and it was a double. My FS agreed to a double probably because I am 37 with low AMH and had open stomach surgery to remove massive atypical fibroid (not cancer not normal) I have to have hysterectomy once family completed and we want 2children and have been trying for nearly 10 years so I guess it's a matter of trying to get the family completed in one go is better for my health. Pregnancy test due 5 June so I will be reporting the result here although I might have BT a day later than they say. Did everyone have the same period like pain and cramp basically from EPU to transfer. I am constipated due to Crinone and not sure if that is the cause of the pain. I have basically been in bed Wed after PU, Thur up and walking, Friday in bed again and today transfer in bed most of the day. I ate a Bacon and Egg Muffin before transfer as I heard someone swore by it and got DH to act like clown for half hour after transfer so I laughed which is the same motion on the diaphragm as orgasm. Someone else said wear socks at all times so just put some on. Does anyone else have any pearls of wisdom that can't do any harm?

    Hi Everyone

Thank you for the warm welcomes, it's great to have the support here. From reading the forum, some of your stories break my heart! I'm sorry that you all have to go through this process , I didn't realise that there were so many people out there having fertility issues. It's a shame that discussing IVF isn't in the public realm.

Can I ask a question: I have my first nurses appt on the 30th where we get all our meds. I am due the day after, so does that mean I will start my meds on Day 1 of my cycle and around 14 days later Egg Collection or do I have to have a month or so of meds and then start at the beginning of my next day 1? I'm with RPA/Genea.

Regarding meds, is there a choice between nose sprays, suporisities, injections, and if so which is the lesser of evils?

    Thanks!

    Good luck everyone!!

Hi Ruby. It depends what kind of cycle you are doing. If you are doing an antagonist cycle, you will start jabbing on Day 2 or 3, and then have your egg collection once your follicles are big enough, which usually ends up being around CD 14. However, if they put you on a Down Regulated cycle, you will wait until CD 21 of your next cycle, then start either Synarel (the nasal spray) or Lucrin (an injection) every day until AF arrives, then continue, but also introduce your stimming injections on CD 2/3.

Short answer? No. Basically you have to take whatever they prescribe. As I said, the Synarel is the only nasal spray, and it's only used in Down Reg. cycles (although it can be used for trigger just prior to EPU). Whatever they give you for your FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), that is always an injection. As are the antagonists if you're doing an Antag. cycle. The suppositories/pessaries or vaginal gel (Crinone) are the progesterone that you take after EPU throughout your TWW (and into the first weeks of your pregnancy if you have success). Hope all this helps!
