Milly - welcome and sorry to hear things didn't work out first time round for you. Glad you are learning things though and are persevering!

Wishnhope - how frustrating for you hope your body starts complying ASAP!

    Hi to everyone else

On the topic of whether you have the strength to raise a child or not..... I went through these exact emotions when I was going through my cycles. I think it was more the fact that I was preparing myself for a childless future. Its good to weigh out your priorities and make an informed decision for your future.
I'm sure we would all find the strength somehow to cope.
My FS prefers to transfer only one emby at a time due to the risks that pregnancies with multiples carry.

    Hugs to you all!

    Hi S,

Thank you for a very informative post. Sounds very much like my FS said to me last review. If we ended up with A grade, only to transfer 1 but if we had grades C he would then think of a DET.

    Im with Monash at Clayton.

Also I had a giggle with being told to be positive, last time I said to my nurse "why I ain't got much to be positive about" and my DH then said no wonder!! we have keep positive. GRRR easy for some people to say.
Oh well onwards and up wards is all I can say now. Roll on June there might be some winter magic in the air.

    lots of baby dust

I find it so funny how all that partners / DHs are always so positive and upbeat and all us ladies are the worriers who think it won't work.

For me I think it is a protection mechanism - if I think it won't work and it doesn't then I will be less disappointed.

I think the coping question is so natural in our situation, but once we fall pregnant the happiness of finally getting there and the 40 weeks to worry about something other than ivf and prepare ourselves, mean that we are ready to cope once the baby arrives.

    Some good news for me!!

Just had call with FS and we are on for a FET!! Need to wait for AF which could be between 10 and 24 days seeing we don't know what my cycle will be like as it is the first one after losing the baby.

This means I will be doing the transfer sometime in late June / very early July.

Am more petrified about this cycle than any yet, but I guess like all of us I just need to take one day at a time and not get ahead of myself.

    Warning: pregnancy mention.
I do have some experience with a twin IVF pregnancy, if anyone wants further info I'm happy to share. There were a lot of factors that swayed our decision to transfer two. PM me or ask away if you want to know about them, but I won't blabber on unless asked
I'm certainly not saying ignore the risks or that "you'll be fine" because everyone's risks are different, but as I said I'm happy to share how we arrived at our decision and how it went for us in the end
