Default Has anyone felt like this?? Diabetes??

I had a motorbike accident when I was 15 and had part of my pancreas removed. I was told that at some stage of my life I would become diabetic.

I'm now 22, I have a 1 year old son and for the last couple of weeks my symptoms have become increasingly worse.

The thing that made me go to the dr was the lethargy. I am so tired that I cannot get off the lounge and I can't even play with my son.
I have constant headaches and nausea, the nausea has gotten worse over the last few days.

I had some blood tests that showed I had high blood sugar and I was dehydrated, which seemed weird to me as I have been drinking alot of water.

I am having a glucose tolerance test on Monday but I am just so unwell, I just wanted to know if these symptoms are familiar to anyone and especially anyone with diabetes.

    Thanks in advance

I feel tired all the time and have no energy so I had blood tests done. I had high bsl so had the fasting blood tests done as well. Apparently i have very mild insulin resistance and this could be the reason for my tiredness. Otherwise the only other explanation the GP could give me was that i was exhausted from.being stressed.
So if what the GP told me was correct i guess your tiredness could be the result of diabetes.

If you are lethargic and can't get off the couch I would strongly recommend going to the hospital. My DD1 is a type 1 diabetic and your symptoms are the main ones we have to watch out for..

Because your blood sugar levels are high your body tries to wee more to get rid of the excess sugar so even if you are drinking well you will still be dehydrated due to the above reason.

Thanks so much guys, I worked today and my boss sent me home to sleep in between clients!
I don't know if I should go to hospital or not... I don't really want to go sit there all night but in saying that at least I will have results straight away...
