Because she didn't want to miss the party in my case. No excuse is good enough! gastro can cause severe complications in small children, 13 of the children at the party we were at ended up with it 3 of which ended in hospital stays for various reasons. Nobody knew her child was unwell until she had a massive explosive nappy and the mother then said oh yeah she was up most of the night vomiting as well. Grrrrr...

This. Drives. Me. Crazy! Trying to explain to my df so many times that getting cold feet does not cause colds, stomach upsets, diarrhoea, etc no! It doesn't! Dude - we live in Qld, so it's not like the kids are freezing. I grew up in Victoria, if there is snow on the ground then yes, THEN you can get sick from the cold. If it's above 20 degrees then no!

We have argued over this to the point I called health direct when jasper had a high temp that I could take his flipping socks off. Because df was convinced he needed his socks ON! (he was nearly 40 degs)

But like we will be sleeping in singlet and undies and he'll think the kids NEED socks on OR they'll get SICK.

    Arghargharghargharghargharghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
