I had my appointments with both FS and Clinic and overall it was a good day.
We have a diagnosis at last - but not necessarily a treatable one. It is low ovarian reserve (Low AMH) So even with IVF I would be lucky to get 3 follicles. I was told the testing of eggs for Downs and Chromosome numbers is not possible unless I get at least 5X 3 day old Embies as biopsying the embrios damages a proportion of them and with so few likely it is not worth the risk to the Embrios (which makes sense to us in a way)
I asked about DHEA and she said there is no benefit of it, and the only thing she recognised with regards to taking Royal Jelly, Co-Enzyme Q10 or alternative therapys is the acupuncture. I asked about Accupressure and she said that anything that might help with mindset and relaxation is worth a go as long as there is no chemicals (such as having nails done)
FS said I have to have ultrasound to check fibroid not back, PAP smear (probably due) and blood tests for HepC antibody, Hep B S antigen, HIV I & II antibody, Rubella, Varicella Zoster (Antibody), TSH, Blood group and Antibodies, T4, Karayotype, Vitamin D - Can anyone confirm if these are standard blood tests?
Collected my medications - Given
Elonva 1 needle of 150 micrograms
Doyccycline 100mg X 2 bottles of 7 tablets.
DOCTOR SAID TO DO SYRANEL FROM DAY 2 - CLINIC SAY NO SHE IS MIXED UP - I NEED TO CONFIRM WITH FS WHO'S OFFICE IS FRUSTRATINGLY CLOSED ON WEDS
DAY TO DO
1 Ring Clinic
2 Elonva needle
6 Ultrasound, BT & See nurse co-ordinator
So first 6 days involve only 2 needles - that is just about workable - they said to get there before we start worrying about Orgalutran.
Will also post this in other threads to get any information that anyone can give on whether Syranel is required
