Good luck ladies! I'll be watching to see how you both go and if the accupuncture seems to help as I might be needing to look at natural methods to bring things on earlier as well. Hopefully we'll see birth announcements from the two of you quite soon!

Hi ladies I have a question. I'm 37+4 today and will be induced next week due to GDM as bubs is on the large side. When I saw my OB 2 days ago baby was not in my pelvis and cervix very unfavorable at that stage.
I'm in Perth, ( sor) and wondering how do you find a chiro or acupuncturist for inducing labour?? Any suggestions?

I am in Melbourne so unfortunately I can't recommend anyone in Perth but bumping so maybe someone else can.

It's defiantly worth a try. I have GD with my first and although I didn't go into spontaneous labour (was induced at 38w) it did out bub in position, facing the right way and helped me have a 3hr labour.

Maybe try googling acupuncturist and chiro specializing in pregnancy and women's health?

    Good luck!

I'm in Perth SOR. I see Mike Dyson at Fremantle Chinese Medicine for the acupuncture and today I saw a chiro at Fremantle Family Chiropractors.

It was good. My lower back is out of alignment so he says if we fix that then it should straighten my uterus.

He touched this point on my abdomen that really hurt and then after adjusting my lower back it didn't hurt at all. Before I even got to say that he said "oh yes that's much better already"

It works. I'm going back twice next week. Goodness this getting into labour business is $$

Any sign of labour for you ? I've got a stretch and sweep tomorrow but only if Her heads low enough.

My chiro is down Mandurah way so probably too SOR, lol. He's not specifically Websters trained but whatever he did seems to have made a difference as bub is now head down - woohoo! I saw the midwife yesterday who confirmed.

After the 1st appt last week bub had a very quiet day the next day then super-active for a few days and I think he tried to put his head down but came back out. Then after my Tues appt by Wednesday there no longer seemed to be a baby sticking out my sides and sure enough head is down.

If yours goes well I'll be going back for sure to get him to drop down if he's being cheeky later on.

Also, saw the other OB who is happy for me to go to 40w if I can stay on top of the GDM.

Hope bub is low enough for your S&S today and it's not too ouchey!

yay baby is engaged 2/5th which is better than free floating. And we did the stretch and sweep.

Super favourable 1cm dilated and 75%effaced. She said she's really low and well applied and could have broken my waters there and then if needed be.

Having another stretch and sweep Monday

Stretched glad the Ob is happy to give you more time.

That's great! Sounds like it has all helped and bub is just around the corner! I had both acupuncture and chiro today and both say it will be anytime now.
