Default Sucess with Chiro ? Getting baby to engage.

Has anyone had any success with Chiropractic adjustment in pregnancy ?

Either with helping baby engage or get into labour?

I've never had chiro before and am seeing a Chiro on Thursday as i'm 37 weeks and baby isn't at all in my pelvis. I need to have her by 40 weeks due to GDM on diet.

Would love to hear of any experiences with it.

    TIA

I have been having chiro through out this pregnancy. I am now 37+3 and have gone weekly since 35w to prepare for birth. Bub is very low, head down and engaged. When I went last Friday she said I am all good to go and pelvis is all aligned. So I would highly recommend. I have also had acupuncture through out as well so I think that has helped hugely.

I just wanted to wish you good luck!

I've started seeing my chiro again, I'm only 32 weeks but bub's transverse so hoping lining my hips up will help make some room for him to get head down soon. So far it seems to have made bub very active - hoping that's a good sign!

I've also got GDM and my doc wants bub out by 39 weeks - which could ruin my chances of a VBAC too! NFI why he wants him out so early since I'm managing it perfectly with diet. I've got an appointment with his colleague this week as he's away so I might have to refer to you as my "friend who is allowed to go to 40 weeks" and ask why I can't too.

    Thanks stretched.

Yup I'm a midwife and at my work diet controlled GDM's get induced at 40 weeks and those on treatment get induced 38 weeks.
Unless baby's size ect indicates otherwise.

Mine is very strictly controlled and baby is petite-average. Hope your baby turns head down

acupuncture was lovely thanks for asking.

He's seeing me again in a week. The first 2 session are cervical ripening. The 3rd session is getting the baby to drop and then the fourth and final is to bring on labour. In his experience most women go into labour that night or next day.

I'll have some of that now please

he's also sent me some acupressure points for my DH to do to get me into labour.
