ICSI is when they inject a selected sperm into an egg, rather than the traditional IVF method of putting both parts into a dish and letting the sperm penetrate the egg on its own. Generally used in situations where the sperm has poor motility and low count.

Where are you from Wish? I'm in Perth and going through Pivet Medical Centre. Where are you up to in the process?

    Hi All,

    How is everyone going?
I am currently CD28 - if/when I get AF I am going to get my second opinion from another doctor and then maybe to see an FS - just wanted to give it one more month so that we have now been officially trying for 12 months :-(

    Thanks for the welcome!

Im in Perth at Fert North. We're new to the process and halfway through my assessment/tracking cycle. Next app with FS should give us an indication of if and when we'll be starting!!

    How about you Arlais?

Welcome Smash, what makes you think you have PCOS? I thought for a really long time I had PCOS (long long cycles, couldnt get pregnant) So I did all the test with GP-which turned up nothing. Finally got DH tested and found his low sperm count was the problem instead! Dont wait for the "magical year" before seeing the docs again do it now!

    Hi Girls,

Signature pretty much says it all... waiting for AF to arrive (about 26th May) then will start another round of IVF doing a "down regulation" cycle which means on the pill for 3 weeks, 2 weeks in I start synadrel nose spray (to supress hormones so theres no activity on my ovaries) then start Gonal F (FSH injections) and fingers crossed it's a more successful cycle than my first!!

Hope you're all having a good day

    xx

Hello all. This thread has been a little quiet. Good luck to all on the FS train! I've hear a lot of good success with ICSI good luck!!!

AFM I'm in a boring wait for O day which last cycle was day 30 so who knows!?. I had bloods done today in prep for next FS appointment. This will be the last natural cycle before starting Clomid. DH's tests are fine and I can't help but feel a bit of pressure to "get it right". Does that make sense?

Welcome wish, good luck with ICSI (now I understand what that is

Afm 2dpo, not temping or anything just seeing if dtd every second day does the trick. Got my first round of fs blood tests starting next wk, one of which is a cd21 (cd28 for me) progesterone test.
