Afm, Olivia is 7 1/2 months. Still loving every minute.
Still spending every spare minute painting the old farm house. Should be living there in about 7 weeks. Then we have to turn around and paint our house to rent out. Hoping to have all this done by the time Olivia walks.

    Girls,

Do you remember for how long you took the aspirin during the colorado protocol?
I reckon that it is aggravating my nightly heartburn?
Thank God I have nothing during the day, but then comes 6:30pm it burn like fire. I have been taking Gasvicon and prior to that I took some Mylanta, but stopped taking it after 20 days because of the aluminium content.
Your comments would be much appreciated.
    XO
    Francisca

    Hi Ladies,

Quick update from me. Had egg pickup today and we got 12 eggs, which I know is a good number but I'm a little disappointed that that was all we got out of 22 follicles. Anyway, hopefully it is a case of quality over quantity. I guess we will find out tomorrow when I hear the fertilization results.

I'm feeling really good so perhaps I'm still dosed up on whatever they give you at pickup time. I haven't had to take anything extra just yet. Just feeling a bit tired.

Hope you're all doing really well.

MrsErin, don't worry to much about the numbers. I had similar results and it worked. You just need one good embryo in the end... I have my fingers crossed for you and praying that everything goes well this time around.

Thanks Francisca, but unfortunately things are just getting worse today.

Out of our 12 eggs only 4 were suitable for ICSI and only one fertilised. This is by far our worst ever result for fertilisation. We normally have quite good rates. I threw everything at it too...vitamins, HGH, no caffeine, no alcohol etc etc.

I'm just totally devastated and can't even think what to do next. I'm just angry at the world today and feel like this is never going to happen for us.

We are planning to freezing our new embie...even though there's only one, provided it makes it to day 3.

    Hi Erin,

I am so sorry that you cycle has been not that great. Ivf can be so hard. Fingers crossed that your little Embie will be fine. There is such highs and lows and the medications just make everything harder.
I will be thinking of you and have everything crossed. We are all hear if you need a chat.

Hi Erin, I am so sorry it was not the result you were hoping for. But, it does only require one good one to get you pregnant.
It really is a hard journey, but hang in there, its just all so so so worth it in the end!

I'm just feeling totally gutted today. Fortunately Dr Nick can see us this Thursday, so we'll get a chance to discuss it and work out where we go from here.

I'd love it if this one embie is the miracle one but at the moment I'm feeling negative and just writing it off. I don't even expect it to make it to day 3 considering how bad everything else seems to have gone. Sorry to be such a grump. Hopefully I will cheer up in a few days when I get over this initial shock of a bad result.

Thanks for your support. I may call on you all again as I work though this.

    x
