    Default Pram query

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me. I was all set to buy the Baby Jogger City Mini GT double for my twins. I thought I also had to buy 2 bassinets attachments for when the are little. But then the lady in the shop said that I could just use the pram itself and don't have to have the bassinets. Is this right?? She is also checking if this model takes 2 bassinets or just one. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm so confused.

If the pram has a full lay back function, then you can get away with not having a bassinet attachment. I have decided to not bother with a bassinet for my twins as babies don't take that long to be sitting up and then the bassinets become redundant.

As tap has said, if they lay down flat they are fine for newborns. The only thing you may like to do is get pram liners or similar to provide some extra padding and a neck support. If you are interested in bassinets still though (no idea if that pram takes two, sorry) maybe look on gumtree because they grow out of them quite quickly so even secondhand ones are in fantastic condition!

Good idea about second hand. I'll take a look. Does it matter that they are not facing me being so young though?

Have a search of fb, if you have it, and see if there is a buy swap page your your brand of pram as well

Does the pram have a peep hole? If you check them often it should be fine. Baby jogger is a popular brand so it should be fine. In saying that we have the mountain buggy duet so I personally dont know

I have that exact pram. For the first couple of months we just used a soft padded carry case/bassinet (childcare nero brand i think it was), it fitted perfectly.
The seats do lie flat though, so you wouldn't have to use one at all. It would be a matter of personal preference

Thanks for your ideas. I think I've decided to get the Valco cocoons and pop them in the seats instead of the bassinets. It seems like a good compromise. It will be snug but not too expensive. I had no luck with finding second hand bassinets or I might have gone that way. Thanks for your help!
