I did rice cereal with bm for the first few days the added some sweet potato for a couple of days. Then some pumpkin then banana and now pretty much anything mashed. The bags of raffertys food is real good and convenient too and he loves them. The last batch of food I made was potato carrot cauliflower and pear. I'm trying to give him a bit more pear cause his number 2s are all out of wack since starting solids ( guess his little body is still processing the big change).

Feeding about 2 tablespoons a feed ( but I'm sure he would eat more if I let him lol). Your starting today Sl ?

Haha yes I think my little man will be a scoffer too!! Was going to start today but as he has a virus at the mo his reflux is worse so throwing up a lot so we'll go for it next weekend

Because I gave him solely expressed milk for a week I think he got used to the bottle and is struggling with the breast - either that or it hurts for him to swallow so he keeps coming off or it's just his poor reflux! Either way I don't think he's eating enough but I know he would gulp down a whole bottle of EBM if I had it...which I don't! We now have formula sitting in the kitchen....but I'm too scared to use it and in 2 minds still! We bought the bellamys organic infant formula! I just pray that Orlando gets better soon and starts eating better and that I start expressing more so we won't have to use it!

What is it that scares you SL...? Maybe we can help put your mind at ease?

Thanks Nic I guess I just wanted to give him breastmilk only and not touch formula. I think it's just a mental thing and because we had to do IVF to get pregnant and then I had to have c-section I have been blessed that I have been able to do something natural and I really want it to be his sole milk source. I think that because he is sick he is just eating more I don't know but I'm pretty sure I still have the supply there for him..need to just see how I go with him tonight and sleep on it. At least we have it here now in case we decide he needs it.

I understand SL, if it's important to you keep going, but just know formula wont hurt him if you need to use it. Good luck xx

I agree with Nic. It's good you have it if you need but if your really uneasy just wait till your sure. Will only feeds for about 5 min at a time now ( longer at bed time ) and seems to keep coming off while he feeds to. He is just a big sticky beak and might miss something. Is this what Orlando is like? I know William is getting enough cause his leg rolls tell me his thriving lol.

I am definitely in the mist of a sleep regression!!! And it sucks!! I can't get ivy to self settle, she is just screaming just like when we taught her at 7 weeks....she stops as soon as I pick her up, I know she wants to be rocked but I do not want to fall back into rocking, I don't have 50 mins every nap to rock and my back will die! So hard listening to her cry, but...well it's what I am choosing.

KM did Ella get Better at self settling again?

She has been waking twice a night still, which is ok.
