Did you get him up if he started crying? Or tap him for a while? Once bubs is awake I can't get him back at all, he wants up.

Nic, how was your night away? Hope you enjoyed a good night sleep!

Nala it was great!! The party was awesome and yes I got 8 hours, broken of course due to expressing but it was just great!

Ivy is in her cot in her own room for the first time tonight...I have no idea how it will go...

I tried Amy's trick with Ivy but unfortunately didnt work...when ivy stirs at the 30 min mark her eyes pop open almost instantly....but maybe I need to try again. Ivy does normally have a morning nap of 1.5 hours ( except for last 4 days) so she can do it, but just doesn't and she wakes happy from the cat naps most the time. I do wish she would sleep longer though as 30 mins is nothing!

Babies are all so different arnt they!

No we didn't get him if he cried, only if he was hysterical... The key forums was to get to him before he woke up from the stirring, we have a video monitor so probably easy for us to see when he starts to stir rather than waiting till 30 mins... If you don't have a video monitor I would suggest setting a timer & going in at 25 mins and watching and getting to him before he stirs... Hope it works for you, it worked so well for us!

For the formula fed bubs how much do they take per 24 hours? And how much in each bottle?

I think the thing we do SL is just be consistent whether its me putting Myles down or DH... Do the same thing over and over again until Myles understood what was happening, it now works 90% of the time, sometimes he tests us again :-)

With the day naps the biggest thing we did was to help him learn how to self settle, we thought we where ok since he was sleeping so well at night but during the day he just couldn't seem to strong 2 sleep cycles together, all we did was go in when he started to stir & put a hand on his chest, quite firm so he was comforted, slowly it took less & less until we didn't need to help him at all :-)
Thanks what do they do with the comforter? Hold it? Chew it lol?? Scared it might cause suffocation....???

All of the above, Braydon sleeps hugging his, right near his face smelling it. They are made of breathable material. The main reason for them is to have your scent so they settle a but easier. Sometime he has it right up against his face, so once his asleep ill just move it away a little. He definitely goes down easier with it. A good tip is buy 2 so he can have one while the wash. We bought the save our sleep ones as I was worried about the same things

Amy we have a video monitor so will def give it ago when we get back from hols.

Ivy has comforter....she doesn't seem to care about it...maybe in time she will! I still leave it in the cot incase she decides she likes it!

Well she slept 830-730 in the cot....I on the other hand woke hourly checking on her haha!!

Myles didn't like it at first but I slept with in under my PJ top one night & after that loved it...

SL, its breathable so no worries :-) he snuggles into it, sucks it plays with it, it's nice to see him so comforted by it.

Nic, Myles bottles are 200ml... About 6 bottles in 24 hour period, plus 2 small meals now :-)

Actually now that I think about it's probably like 4 or 5 with the occasional top up :-)
