Welcome to Blinky and Bella, you are in great hands with Wazza and I reckon if anyone can get you a BFP its this man.

Congrats on the first jab ToniR, great to get things started. The first part goes pretty quickly.

How's it all going KJ, Ann and Elarwood??

AFM - 11 weeks today and first OB appointment on Monday, been just really tired and feeling a bit nausea. Hanging for the results of our downs test, which should be next week. Also looking forward to relaxing at Port Douglas from Thursday for a few days.

    Happy Friday!! x

Update girls: so went in for a routine scan on Wed, within a minute (barely) of lying down on the table the techs first words (very causally).....'so there's the sac which is empty...no baby -while iam still trying to digest this next sentence as he glides to the other side 'and no heartbeat for this baby'. Iam utterly shocked mind is racing dh is squeezing my hand speechless.....and then I said....'no it cannot be if I have an empty sac I wld have bled' (I haven't had any bleeds or spotting) to the tech plus I had a scan 10 days ago and there was 2 heartbeats. then within the next min he glides around and on the screen comes a perfect bub wiggling madly (again the tech goes casually oh theres the baby, no bloody kidding you di$%head!) with a heart rate of 171!!!Phew so he is gliding about and I asked him so that's the one you thought was empty right and he replies yes then I say so they both have heartbeats he says yes. So works on twin A then starts on twin B, now twin B has always been very difficult to see from day one normally we need tranvag us and its still hard as its apparently tucked in up and deep. For the longest time he tried (only u/s no transvag) and we cldnt get a clear or clean shot of the baby - very distorted...in the end he says 'no activity' and calls in supervisor, more gliding and pressing, dh and I still cannot see baby clearly in the end the supervisor goes 'no activity and no heart beat Twin B' (infact deformed is what he writes on the report and said that to us too) and neither does he tell us at how many weeks baby succumbed - normally they told you that Iam sorry you are 10 weeks but its seems baby past away x weeks as that's how much it measures....but nothing (and we were too devastated to think straight at the moment ). So I say to the tech but I asked you if they both had heartbeats initially and you said yes!! He blurbs some excuse in front of his supervisor. So now what?? My gut feeling is I hope they are wrong cause honestly we cldnt get a clear shot of Twin B and Twin A sac is overlapping twin B. We are going in for another scan (ahem ) at a different place, prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. DH was devastated and cried that night I was just blank and none accepting. We are so distressed and upset that we honestly didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful madly wiggling baby, that filled the screen with arms and legs and all a far cry from our 8 week scan and we heard the heart beat for the first time, which was really funny cause the tech didn't tell us he was putting the sound on and for a minute I thought it started raining hard on the roof until I realized!!. I think had we known that things weren't looking good, it wld have been easier to digest but the way the whole scanning went it was such a shock to the system. I am sorry for no personals ladies atm but my head isn't quite right will keep youse update after our scan today, which Iam totally dreading .

ToniR Good Luck with your scans next Tuesday. Well done on your first jab.

Blinky It really is difficult waiting until 1-2pm for the results of each scan, worst is the blood test each day are marked urgent and done at the processing centre and still have taken 36 hours to send the report and the nurse has had to ring for them each time. Best of luck at your next scan and EPU. I will find out today when mine is!!

ABH Thanks for the warm welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. Good luck with the 12 week scanning. Enjoy Port D, I go up at least 1 a month for a weekend or overnight we love it there. The weather has been amazing up here too at the moment.

Ann I am so sorry what a traumatic scan for you. I hope you get the answers you need at the next scan.

AFM I had my CD12 BT and Scan this morning. I looked to have approx. 7 follicles ont eh left and 10 or 11 on the right. This is amazing for me being a poor responder I normally only have 7 by CD12 and get 3 eggs so go ovaries. Now waiting for the call to discuss the report with the nurse or Wazza and see if he wants to do EPU Monday or an other day????

Hi to everyone I have missed hope everything is going well.

ann ...that is absolutely disgusting of the radiographer..do they not realise they are dealing with human beings who are attached their miracles within. I seriously hope it is just his incompetence not anything with the baby. what hospital are you at...when I went to the royal there is a unit there who deals with high risk pregnancies and they scanned me every month. when the radiographer thought that cooper only had one kidney she didnt say anything until she had been absolutely sure and had spoken to the dr. then at future scans the guy spent absolute ages and found his kidney in the wrong spot. maybe you should see if you can get in somewhere that specialises in pregnancy also.
    please stay strong

Liney - thanks unfort iam in overseas currently but flying back to Bris Fri week with DH, have first appt with obs and nt scan.

Unfort girls I have lost twin B but at least the tech was empathetic and very gentle with her words , but on the other hand surviving bubs is still waving away madly. Dh and I are sad but ok we have to be thankful of what we have. Not really sure what happens from here- so I may or may not bleed alot or little and the twin gets absorbed I gather? KJ - have you had big bleed sine you lost your twin ? Iam just afraid of a big painful bleed like a miscarriage.

Oh Ann, sorry to read about your scan. How terrible that the scan tech was so horrible and insensitive, definitely not the right profession for him/her. that twin A keeps on growing and waving. Bet you can't wait to get back to Brisbane. Look after yourself.

Welcome Bella, Toni & blinkey I hope your cycles go well and fingers crossed for you...sorry not been on for a while just coming to terms with loss and panic attacks....Ann I am so sorry to hear about your loss even though we still have one healthy one going we still have the grieve of losing a baby, I had no bleeding mine was coming from my tear in the uterus Wazza told my the twin will just absorb into my body and not put my strong baby at risk, I have been panicking about my strong little baby losing its heart beat so been going into warrens for scans for reasurrence can you do this? Warren told me I can go in whenever I want I also went to see the psychologist at QFG to talk me through dealing with the loss and how to deal with my panic attacks...I'm just so sorry Ann I know how you are feeling and words can't describe it ABH I hope your scan goes well bet you can't wait to see your little bub again

Also Ann the psychologist made a big point of letting me know it's not my fault and there was nothing I could do or anything I did which could of caused the loss of our baby so please don't blame yourself or think you could of done anything different, I would suggest you go see the psychologist to help you through.

Firstly to Ann - my heart goes out to you and your partner. I am sorry you had to endure that ordeal with the sonographer and now with your loss. You are in my thoughts and I pray that your lil one continues to grow strong.

Blinky - yes the running of the house kept my husband amused but I proved to myself today, I can do the jab under 30 minutes! You are right, the second time is far easier.

Bella - thank you for your encouragement, I look forward to Tuesday to see how these suckers are growing.

ABH - congratulations on your 11 week mark and good luck for your OB appt. Not too sure if it is kosher to ask, but who are you seeing?

AFM - 2nd jab today, trying to keep up the fluids and trying to relax.
Everyone have a fabulous weekend xx
