KJ- I know I am only new to this thread, but you are in my thoughts and prayers through this trying time xx

Hell to everyone else, I hope you are all travelling well on the crazy roller coaster!

AFM well Day 1 is officially here tomorrow . I am going to make the call to my FS and make an appt for a scan and BT on Thursday. A little anxious as my FS is away until 28th so dealing with the nurses at QFG. Can't wait to get this ball rolling. Just a quick q. Do I start jabbing on Day 2 or Day 3?

Have be a good night all x

    Hi Everyone,
hoping you don't mind me jumping in here..
As per siggie; DH and I are currently in the midst of ICSI #3. This is our first cycle with our new specialists and we are excited and hopeful but also trying to balance that with being cautiously realistic.
'Wazza' was recommended to us by a homeopath as we were not entirely comfortable with our previous clinic. (Our case had been scrutinised in a panel review by the gurus of our previous clinic and the best they could come back with was 'we don't know where it went wrong' - we felt they wanted to get rid of us as we were bad for their statistics )
anywhoo.... Dear Wazza has certainly lived up to his reputation and has been very straight down the line with us but still felt we were 'worth another crack'.
being that my previous cycles were antagonist and this one is a long down reg. symptoms and routines have certainly been very different. The myriad of drugs/vitamins etc that I am on certainly keep me on my toes remembering when to take everything.
so for now I am CD 10 and juiced up on DHEA, Metformin, Melatonin, Synarel (awful, awful stuff :s) Gonal F, Menopur, Clexane, Prednisone, HGh, and Nitro Dur (wicked headaches )
I am due for another scan tomorrow morning and hopefully from there it will be all systems go for an expected EPU next week sometime.
is there anyone else here who has cycled with Wazza and have a similar regime? What was your outcome?

blinky I too cycled with wazza after losing trust in my first fs. it was our last attempt before we would of had to stop due to the expense of it all. i rattled from all the pills and was sometimes injecting up to 5 needles at a time. he vitually did the opposite to original dr..anyway to cut a long story we now have 21 month old twins and will always hold a special spot in my heart for wazza. he w is honest to the core and never sugar coats the truth but felt all along I had a choice in what was happening.

    Thanks lineyb
DH was adamant when we started to search for a FS for a second opinion that this would be our last go (you can only sacrifice so many house deposits iykwim)
however after our first appointment with Wazza he started to soften and change his mantra a little... Now he says we will see how this round goes and maybe ???
I think he has a small man crush ..... Hahaha

Hi ladies hoping I can join in here. I am CD10 today this is my 5th stim 7th transfer if all goes well. I am in FNQ not brisbane but cycling with Wazza in brissy as my old FS wouldn't try anything else and I couldn't face doing another cycle the same as the past 2 which were only marginally different then the 2 before that with an egg haul of 3 each time, no frosties basically very little hope of it every getting to a live birth.

I have had 3 miscarriages before IVF and 2 since and a 2nd trimester loss due to my sons kidneys not working and a total bladder blockage we lost Noah 22nd November last year.

I am on a bucketload of meds this time very similar to Blinky76 DHEA and Melatonin for 5 months with vitamin e fish oil low dose aspirin megafol zinc coq10 and all previous stims have been 150-220iui final this time 350iui per day half in the am the other in the evening. Also added in prednisone and clexane and human growth hormone injections daily.

Next scan and bloods Friday. I have them remotely wait til they receive the reports and phone in will find out of we are good to go for a Monday EPU. We had 9 follies on the left and 13 on the right which is great for us because I normally have 9-12 by now then they drop to 6 by cd12 and at egg pick up only 3 so of we got 6 this time I would be thrilled.

I had a scratch and lipiodol flush a few months ago but my cycle was cancelled so had to wait 8 weeks so not sure if that will benefit us now.

This is our kitchen sink attempt anything suggested offered or hinted at we took the option of

Good luck and I will settle in this afternoon and read from the beginning to catch up on you lovelies. Thanks x Bella

bella..what a tough journey you have been on. one of the main reason I changed to wazza was because old fs stuck to the same protocol each time and wouldnt make any changes and dont they say the defiition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting something different. wish you all the luck in the world in your cycle and fx this is the magic one.

Fx for you Bella: sounds like we are cycling together (I am Cd 11 today). I am heading out now for a scan to determine EPU but expect it to be early next week (possibly even Monday?) - maybe I will 'see' you in recovery
i am currently on 600 IU a day (split 300 am/300 pm) alternating between Gonal F and Menopur (along with all the other things you mentioned). So far I feel ok (maybe just a bit 'blah' ) but I a little distracted when it comes to work...

Lineyb thanks that is exactly how we felt and to be told that they did there part it was my body that let me down really was my last straw at my old FS.

Blinky good luck and perhaps we will be in recovery together if all goes well.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello to everyone especially Blinky and Bella. I hope everyone is still travelling well!

I just had my Day 2 bloods and scan. Not the nicest thing I have ever done but the FS was lovely and put me at ease.

Today is is the beginning of my journey. Did my first jab of Puregon 150 and it was easier than first thought. That was after I ran around the house refusing to do it! The madness has already set in and it's only Day 1!
Scan and BT next Tuesday too. Very overwhelming but so happy it is here.

and good luck to everyone too x

    ThAnks Toni and Bella
Bella- hope you are coping ok with the daily jabs and the extra waiting you have due to you long distance situation... It must be extra excruciating having to wait to get information after your scans etc are sent away to be reviewed?

Toni- your totally normal as far as the 'running around the house refusing to jab' - actually it made me laugh because I remember my first cycle with Gonal F I was away for work, all alone in a motel room in a backwater of CQ. I had gotten up early to allow myself plenty of time to jab before heading out at 4am to start work. It took me about an hour to psych myself to do it and once it was done I had the biggest adrenaline rush and realised it wasn't so bad. But that was only after watching like 6 YouTube videos And calling DH (some 1500km away) at 3am to cry and wail that I didn't think I could do it! (Funny now but terrified then ) it definitely gets easier!

AFM - scan yesterday went well Wazza found 8 follies on my right and ? On my left (it was playing hide n seek). He said ' we'll just wing it and wrangle them out on the day' - he cracks me up! His matter of factness and humour certainly helps with any anxiety. Another scan is booked for Saturday morning at 5:30am! But the estimate at this stage is for EPU on Tuesday ..
