Thanks so much for all the information! It sounds like I'd be wise to sign up as a more permanent patient with Wazza if I get the chance.

Tandi - I see an acupuncturist regularly and it seems the pins go in different places each time. I think it depends on what meridian needs it (heart, kidney etc). If in doubt, ask! I've been to lots of acupuncturists and found that some put pins in without really knowing where the blockages are. My current one does 'pulse guided' which I find quite effective. Best of luck with it!

lineyb73 - Thank you for sharing. The first FS you saw sounds really similar to mine. How fantastic you had twins after TTC for so long then having some failed cycles. I can't imagine that feeling! I think part of the problem with my FS is that they specialise in gynaecology, fertility and obstetrics. Maybe jack of all trades master of none? I like that Wazza only does fertility.

ABH- thanks for the tip. I phoned up for an appointment and was told the same thing. I've got an appt for September, seeing his replacement when he's away to get in the back door. Then I can be a patient of his. It will be a shame not to have the hour long appt with him, to hear his take on what to do. But will trust his replacement and see how we go from there.

Kj35- good luck with all those tests. It makes sooo much sense to have them before going through more IVF. IVF should be a last resort, not a trial and error process to indicate whether more simple tests are needed!

Sorry lovely ladies this is a quick post about me... Had embryo transfer today. Results of CGH testing showed 6 out of 15 were chromosomally normal. One transferred & 5 frozen. Overwhelmed. Makes me think maybe the previous 3 cycles did have a few normal blastocysts & they just didn't stick. We will never know. Those who are with wazza, all I can say it was absolutely the BEST decision ever & I wish you all the very best with your upcoming cycles. Have complete faith in him that he will get you over the line. A long angonising TWW ahead. Bring on preg test 9th August.

Oh no I'm sorry Nickilee feeling sad for you even though I didn't want a break last year because I felt this urgency with age we decided we needed 6.months to get our emotions back on track not just because of IVF but the TTC, pregnancy loss, tube loss etc it was good for us and we were ready to continue again after I know nothing I say can make you feel better but sometimes a little break can help no matter how short or long

Hi ladies, I'm also from Brisbane. Husband and I have been trying for 4 years and we've decided to do our first round of IVF/ICSI.
Had a scan on Friday where my FS (not whoever you guys are calling Wazza (perhaps Warren somebody?)....I can't seem to find anything that mentions this FS's real name) identified 11 good size follicles and today is egg pick up. Getting all excited and anxious and everything in-between!!!

I feel for you Nickilee, we all know how you feel. Even though I am only in the early stages of our first IVF. I think IUI does help to prepare you for it.

Welcome Honeytips. for your EPU today. Sounds like you are with WDA as well. I am a new patient of his and doing my first IVF with him. I'm a few days into taking Synarel. Has getting to EPU gone quickly for you?? I actually can't wait for AF to arrive and the injections to start. Can't wait to get this show on the road.

    Hey guys,
No, I'm not with Wazza my FS is a female with QFG (Luckensmeyer). EPU went pretty well (a bit sore in the tummy right now but that's expected), they got 9 eggs and I have to call tomorrow to find out how many were fertilized and I'm due to have one transferred on Friday. Process was rather quick - one moment I was asking a question and next thing I know I was waking up 2 hours later!!!
