Well I think I have just gone over board but I have booked in with Wazza also but you can't get a appointment with him till 16th December, so fingers crossed for a cancellation. Silverdragon I really hope one of your frosties is the one for you, it really does take it out of you this frozen cycle was the hardest for me and ive found it hard to pick myself up but Ive managed, I hope you decide to give one more cycle ago if you frosties don't work out but on a positive note they will work!!

We have decided to go with Ross Turner at Monash IVF because he's comes highly recommended and We cannot wait until December for Wazza its too long, we will still keep the December appointment in case for some reason we are not happy at Monash, we wont be having a cycle in July now and they managed to bring my appointment forward by 11 days in August so I wont miss two, so hopefully this will give me time to get my positive head on and get healthy, feeling really nervous with the change but they will freeze at day 5 which is what we really want, I will still be coming on here in the meantime and try keep everyone positive. Hope you feeling ok Nickilee i'm really feeling for you at the moment

Welcome Emma, for your next cycle.

    to KJ and Silverdragon.

to you Nickilee, we all know exactly how you feel. I find I actually feel a little bit better if AF is early rather than late.

Meet with FS today and will be starting first IVF this cycle, so have BT next week to check that I have ovulated and appointment with nurse to run through the IVF process, then I start sniffing synarel and then injections for a week, followed by US and hopefully EPU.

How have you ladies felt after EPU? Just wondering if I should take a couple of days off work. I am trying to get DH to be home when I have EPU and also so he can provide a fresh sample, but he works away, so kind of just have to see closer to the time. Any other IVF tips would be appreciated.

Heading to Straddie camping for a few days r and r with DH tomorrow. Can't wait will be nice to get away.

I hope the change works well for you KJ even though you have to wait....will be worth it if you feel better!

Nickilee I hope you are feeling OK but just let the tears go if you need. This will help you move on. It always sucks to be in that position.

ABH, I love straddie! Haven't been there in a couple of years now but it always feels you are escaping life for a short while. I hope you enjoy some much needed R&R time with DH and forget about all the troubles for now. We have a holiday to California booked in September and I think to myself that if we are successful in conceiving, this will be the last overseas holiday we have as a couple so I plan to make it nice and romantic with lots of adventure. The holidays after we have a little one will still be fun but perhaps a bit more low key

AFM, I had my scan today and have a follie growing away down there so I will trigger on Monday with a planned FET for Monday 8th July. This time around I feel less excited as I know how emotional it is. Strange isn't it? Perhaps I will feel much better once I get to the day of FET.... Also after hearing that so many of my embies are probably abnormal anyway, it is hard to think that it will work but also I am hoping we get lucky and have a few normal ones - we will know soon enough!
Anyway, I have started with my assignments for next semester so it gives me something to focus on.

Silverdragon i hope I haven't put negative thoughts into your mind, you would have to be extremely unlucky for all of them to be abnormal, I've learnt the hard way that not all blasties will be a take home baby & it's a harsh numbers game. You still have to have hope because the next one could really be the one & the fact you had 5 frozen is an excellent sign that one will be your baby. The 8th July will come around so quickly & a holiday to California is something very positive to look forward to.

KJ glad to hear you are happy with your decision to change clinics & FS. Fingers crossed dr Turner has some new ideas for you & gets you over the line. Good idea to keep the dec appt with wazza as a back up, you might get a cancellation between now & then & always good to have a 3rd opinion if you're still in the game.

Nikkilee, that's horrible news. So disappointing. I feel for you. Do you have a plan for next step.

ABH, thanks for the welcome. EPU isn't as scary as it seems. I found the first one the worst as you don't know what to expect (plus I had mild OHSS - ouch). Everyone responds differently but generally you'll feel a little sore that afternoon & perhaps the next day. A heat pack does wonders for your belly. I sometimes take the next day off, although the anaesthesist says no driving for 24 hrs after the general so technically you should have the following day off. Lots of water & protein. And pear juice so you don't get blocked up after the general.

I'm still waiting for AF so I can get started on cycle #4, why does it not come when you're waiting for it.

Nicole83, I've ordered the melatonin, maca & l-carnitine you suggested, did you take any of these or just DH? The melatonin seems good for egg quality as does l-carnitine.

I hope AF shows soon for you elar, nothing worse then waiting for day one to start. When you had mild ohss how many eggs did they get? My Dr was worried when he got 19 eggs from me. I was only stimming with 150 puregon. After epu though I was very bloated and in alot of pain! Oh the joys.
    Good luck ladies.

Im not surprised you were so bloated & sore. Frozen cycles are much better on your body. i started on 75 and slowly upped dosage to 125 first cycle, had 20+ follicles but only 10 eggs. Dr measured the estradiol & said we were okay to go ahead with transfer as there was only 10 eggs. I was in extreme pain for a few weeks, and it worsened when I fell pregnant with DD. first cycle I was none the wiser & thought the pain was normal until they explained the empty follicles fill up with fluid & cause pain. However, since having DD my ovaries don't seem polycystic & my AMH level is low for my age (I'm 30 by the way) i'm now stimming on 350 my last cycle was 250 increased to 300. Wazza says PCO is something you have for life & put me on Diabex and myo-insoitol to help egg quality for PCO. I'm not 100% sure I still have it as I've had to increase dosages & no hyperstim but will try anything that may help egg quality. He also said that OHSS cycles often result in pregnancy..
