Cool I can't feel my mirena strings but I can feel something plastic in my cervix

My cervix is slow and open. I ovulated yesterday. I have been trying to find my strinags the last few days but I cant feel them. Today though I could feel a hard plastic in my cervix. Would this be the mirena itself and would that be normal??
    TIA

When i had mine i could feel a small plastic thing, but the strings were on the outside, they wouldn't float around or anthing they were stuck on the side. swirl your finger around your cervix if you don't pick up the strings i'd just book an ap with you gp or who ever and get them to have a look.
    Good luck

For me the mirena didn't work - could feel it when I exercised and DH had problems with the strings!
