    Default High temperature?

My ten month old started not looking himself about 24 hours ago ,last night he had a bad night with temps 37.5 then 38.3 this morning went down to normal 36.5 but off his food then started going up again 38.4 then 38.9 even after nurofen and Panadol. Now all all of my In laws side have had or currently have tonsillitis so my husband and i said no kissing on the face please ,but they all said there doctor said its not contagious. Two questions here. When do I seek medical advice on temps ?and is tonsillitis contagious ?because I think it is and I'm no doctor, just through experience over the years of other people having it.
    please share what you think.
    cindy.

No idea on tonsillitis but you dont need to worry about a temp until it reaches 40, so I panic around 39. 38 is ok.
Make sure he is drinking water and keep a eye on the nappies, once they start drying up you need to go to hospital. Also temp means infection, try to let his body fight it before rushing to a doctor though.

It is very contagious and I would be furious at sick people coming near my child.
Remember a fever is a normal bodily function to fight fever, but consistently high I would get him checked to be safe.
