Default Psychologist specialising in Donor Cycle? Melbourne Area.

    Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if someone could help with a recommendation for a counseller or psychologist in the Melbourne area who specialises in donor cycles? I'm currently in the midst of my final IVF with my own eggs and if this fails, I would like to move on to a donor cycle, but my husband has reservations. I don't want to push for a donor cycle unless he is completely on board and think that some counseling would be beneficial for both of us. We had counselling as part of our first IVF cycle but I feel like a donor cycle and the issues that it brings up are totally different.
Can anyone offer any recommendations or advice?

    thanks
    Em

    Hi em,

I am an egg donor and currently doing a cycle with monash Ivf in Melbourne. As part of all egg donor cycles you need to have at least 2 lots of counselling 1 separate for both the ips and donor and then a group counselling session usually 2 weeks later.

My ips and I used Kylie stone from monash who is absolutely lovely and very easy to talk to. You may find she does outside appointments if you aren't using monash for your current cycles.

All the best and baby dust
