If it was someone on her friends list then report them. Wtf are they doing with that on their page? Even if they were saying look this is disgusting they still posted in on their feed so distributing it. Report them that's sick and I hope the girl has been taken out of that situation by now

My friend and I talked about it and after more research have found that there is also a blog associated with the page. I've taken screen caps of the page (not the exact content) and we are going to call the police tomorrow and see what can be done.

Thank you so much for all of the advice and hugs.

Your friend needs to report it ASAP. There r specialist units that focus on victim identification. People seem to think if it's on the net then they can't do anything, but this isn't true at all.

The Police seem to have gotten quite good about tracking these things back to their source. Definitely worth a try. Mongrels.

Just saw this posted on NSW police FB

Police from the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) are warning parents to be vigilant after a number of social network users reported se...eing a video, depicting child abuse, posted on social networking pages.

In the last few days, police in Sydney and on the mid north coast have fielded reports from concerned members of the public regarding a video being circulated via a social networking platform.

It is unclear if the video was being posted by a particular user or program. The video, believed to have originated in an overseas location, has since been removed by the social network platform.

The incident has again prompted police to urge parents and children to be mindful of the dangers associated with the internet.

Hugs OP I agree that it's really upsetting.

This thread reminds me why I don't have facebook and why my children will not have an account until they are 15/16.

Imagine if a child came across that video.

I really did not think that these sick, twisted people would actually share child pornography on places like facebook

They would be attempting to. What else are they supposed to suggest you do?

Nsw police do not have jurisdiction overseas, so tracking them down and arresting them is not possible. If the nsw police can determine a country of origin, the matter would be handed to the authority in that country. In matters like this they can only cooperate with the relevant authorities as needed. Nowhere did they suggest you just look away. And the reminder to be vigilant with your own children is a good one. So no, I can't say I'm disgusted Im not really sure what else you want them to do?

OP how awful to see that. Hopefully the abusers can be caught.
