Default *Trigger topic * can't believe what my friend just said :(

I'm sorry about where I posted this. Please love it if it needs to be.

So tonight I was on Facebook. When my friend posts a status. Someone on her news feed had commented on a video. She checked the video not realizing what it was and it was of a maybe 4-5 year old girl naked etc etc. It was child pornography My poor friend is really upset.
We are all really shaken up and disgusted by this. Im a child of sexual abuse. And it broke my heart.
    It's since been taken down.
Immediately I wanted to do something but being Facebook my hands are tied. I don't know who they are or where they're from. Or where to even start.

I just hate that it's there. I hate that there are these people. I just hate it. I hate that I forget about these victims and wish I was doing more for these poor children. Children who were like me.

Your friend can report the person who had the video to Facebook.

They have been reported to Facebook. But I feel like I or my friend should have called the police or something I don't know. The video has been deleted but the page is still there covered in porno photos and videos

You can bring the page to the attention of the police. And report the page to Facebook. I'm sure the police have a division that could investigate that.

    Facebook sucks sometimes

The joys of Facebook I hate it with a passion and hence I don't use it. Unfortunely all you can really do is report the images an have them removed. Those images will be from somewhere else and really unless you can track that site down and report it specifically you can't really so much. It's sad and I wish I could give you a magic solution but I'm afraid I don't know of any. I guess you could report to crime stoppers not sure if they'd do something instantaneously about it

I think Facebook has the responsibility to report it to authorities as well.

Report it to the police. They have the skills to potentially track it down.

    Hugs op.

You can report it to the police. I remember reading a story about something similar a little while ago and the police did become involved.

There are no words adequate enough to express my disgust at people who create these images/videos

I hope it can be tracked down.
