    Default Issues with poop

Master 2.5 has issues with pooping. He isn't with holding or anything like that. He just doesn't seem to go for i think at least a week and when he does go, it's quite solid and he gets a high temp for 2 days Seems to be painful.
He goes to his room and shuts the door to poop.

I'm taking him to the drs this week, but has anyone got any ideas as to what could be going on??

My daughter is like this and has been for almost 3 years now. The only thing I have found works is taking osmolax(sorry not sure if that's how you spell it) and seeing a physio. We have her going every 2 - 3 days now instead of every 7 - 10 days.
Make sure your childs diet has lots of fibre and they drink lots of water.

The longer they hold it the more the bowel stretches which means next time it has to fill more before the brain realises it needs to go.

Good luck I hope the Dr understands and will give you some good advice.

Sounds like he is constipated. Maybe try prune or pear juice. If you use pear juice make sure you get the cloudy one in the tin - the clear one doesn't work as well. My kids prefer pear juice over prune juice.

Does he eat much fresh fruit? Apples, pears, grapes, stone fruit etc are all good. Stewed apples and/or pears (with the skin on) and a few prunes stirred through makes a good snack that can also help get things moving!

Might be that he needs something stronger - you can get things from the chemist, without a Dr's prescription.

    Goodluck!

He has a varied diet and drinks lots of water.
He never used to be like this. Was very regular.
On the days he does poop he gets so down

Ask the Dr to check him for dairy or wheat intollerences, my 8 year old neice was just diagnosed with a gluten intollerence , has made a world of difference even after 2 weeks
