    GO for it!!! I miss 9/10 of my DS birthdays as it works out he is with his dad for it but we celebrate it a week later when he is back with us. Being so young as well its more about the fuss on the day rather than the date. My DS is a bit older (9) and he understands. It makes it hard dont get me wrong but I would do it. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity and you worked hard for it

    2nd birthday - who cares? They won't. Just have the party when you come back, your child will be none-the-wiser.

    I think if you really want the reward and trip it's fine to go. The playboy mansion and a week in LA wouldn't tempt me in the slightest but a week in Italy or France I would be off in a flash.

    I'd go, too. He wont remember this birthday, and he wont remember you changed the date.
