Default What does your LO wear to bed?

Do you put hats on your baby for bed? Do you have their hands covered/swaddled? And how many blankets?

Ive had different midwives in hospital tell me different things. One told ne hats/mittens increase SIDS risks as they over heat.

We are in Tas, its cold at night. My twins are 2 weeks old. They sleep in Bonds wondersuits with the mittens and I swaddle them with a blanket, they have 2 of their nice fluffy blankets and a light weight one on top.

Up until this week I swaddled my 7 week old in a bamboo wrap, he wore just a singlet under as its been warm in perth still then he is firmly tucked into his bassinet with a lightweight blanket.

This week we stopped wrapping him as he kept getting out so he is in a wondersuit with the mittens over then tucked in with the lightweight blanket.

I wouldn't use a beanie as they will regulate there temp through there head but instead I would warm the room if your concerned. They no longer have a temp recommendation just to a comfortable temp.

Double swaddled (hands in) with two light wraps or one light and one thicker wrap, and dressed in a singlet, onesie, or full body suit depending on temperature.

Sounds like you are keeping them perfectly warm. I was always told no beanies due to overheating and the risk of SIDS.
