I just got my first positive OPK this morning! Last time we got pregnant the tests never told me I was ovulating, we just dtd every other day. We've been doing that this past week but also this morning after positive OPK and thinking tomorrow morning as well, I know you're meant to do every other day so the boys' swimmers have a chance to build back up but hoping there are surely some swimmers hanging out in there waiting to catch the egg! (Sorry that was a bit gross!) praying and praying.

Yay! Hope my opks go positive in the next few days. I say dtd whenever you like unless you know your partner has a low count. You might want to dtd on Tuesday as well just to be sure.

I am on my second round of clomid this cycle; 50mg. Today is CD 13. I had a scan on Friday and I have a 26mm and 18mm follicle on my right ovary. Left side had a few small ones. I couldn't have Ovidrel injection this time due to the two follicles.

This morning I had a very sharp pain on my right side, lasting about a minute. I have also had a feeling on my right side of my back, quite low. Feels very tender so no idea what that is. This afternoon I had a few little sharp like pains on my left so confused by these.

Day 21 I will be going for a blood test to check progesterone, I have never done this before.

Like a lot of you, we really hope this cycle will give us our long awaited BFP.

    How is everyone else going?

We had already dtd last night because that was part of our 'every other day' routine. I know this sounds silly and naive but I have this weird mix of scared we'll miss the egg so have to dtd a lot and scared of depleting his reserves and there not being anything left when we dtd!

My FS told me on Friday (CD11) to dtd Friday night and every second night for the next four nights, however if we have the energy go each night from Friday for 4 nights. We also dtd Thursday so will pretty much be going each day from CD 10-15.

Wow...I'm already exhausted after typing that.

It's bizarre though because when I as having acupuncture earlier in the year I was told to dtd every five days. We did and fell pregnant but ended in miscarriage at 5 weeks.

Since seeing a specialist we have gone with his advice of minimum three times a week and increased around ovulation as above.

For those that have had a d&c before, how long did you bleed after? I have barely bled at all, like not since approx 2 hours afterwards. I had the procedure 2 days ago. I'm wondering if this is normal?

I feel so let down. Like, I already conceived.. So why do I have to start all over again?! Silly, I know. This sucks

I felt exactly like this for the first five months...i don't think it will make much difference unless your partner has a low count. If your up for it, dtd whenever you feel like it (for us thats usually ten days straight around O)! remember sperm usually live about 2-5 days so every second day should cover it.

I now think that you should dtd whenever you feel like it (as long as its no less than 2-3 times a week)...

I'm starting to think that all the cycles we've tried that the egg has been fertilised but for many different reasons has not implanted or hasn't implanted properly...just waiting for a good one to come along.

(Ps. This is actually based on what I know of genetics and the chance of conception occurring versus conception + a successful pregnancy)

I didn't have much bleeding. Mostly on/off spotting for a few weeks.
That feeling is completely normal, I still feel that way

It's all such a mixture of emotions for all of us I think. I think DH and I are both feeling very desperate for a baby and petrified to be trying again and for it to take a while. We lost our baby at 20 weeks and should be cuddling a newborn now, instead we're back at square one. It's all so daunting but I need to try, it was really hard skipping my cycle last month. We got pregnant in month 2 last time (but first month of trying I had just gone off pill), I'm praying and praying its that easy again. And we don't loose it...
